Insanely Durable after 3.5 years, Useful for Many Teaching and Skill Targets
I have had these bean bags for 3.5 years now. I purchased them initially to work on sensory integration activities with my son, who has a whole bunch of things going on with him including a sensory processing disorder and global developmental delays, and I thought it was really great that they come in shapes and colors, with the names of the shapes written on them because it would allow me to use them for multiple teaching and therapy targets. Right now we're using this for throwing bean bags in a basket while taking turns. These are durable as can be. My son, who is heavily into chewing on things, still chews on these. Can get an entire one in his mouth even (he's 5, and a bit big for his age). I haven't had a single seam come undone on these. Not a single one. They are still in great shape, and I love how versatile these are as a teaching tool. In the beginning I would use them for other things too, like putting them on my head to try and engage him in eye contact, or juggling them to try and get him interested in grabbing one and playing with me. I am such a lousy juggler by the way...3.5 years with these bags and I can still only juggle two of them at the same time, juggling just is so not my thing. But it really is a cool feature to have these in shapes and colors to for "give me..." targets. You can really work on a lot of things with the same activity that way. So, for epic durability and multi faceted usefulness, these are a 5 star product.

Fun, educational toy
These are pretty good quality and my kids absolutely love them. They are good for beginning counting, shapes, colors, and many other educational games that a parent or teacher can come up with. Obviously kids like to toss things around so bean bags are always going to be fun! The price at the time I bought it was lower than me trying to make them (not all fabric colors are kept in stock at the local store, either). My kids have never put things into their mouths so I'm not sure if they would withstand that. If you have little ones that might put things in their mouths, I would just suggest double checking the shapes to make sure no damage was done by sharp little teeth.

Educational and Fun
We got these for our toddler son for Christmas. He really likes them a lot, and they're educational for him as well. They are well built, the colors are nice, they hold up well under a busy two-year-old, and come in a nifty bag to put them all away in. With this set he is able to learn both his colors and his shapes - and one day maybe to read the word of the shape. (It would have been neat if they would have embroidered the color on them as well, but that's in another set so they can sell those separately.) It was a good price, not a great price, I'm sure I could have made them a lot cheaper, but I wasn't feeling creative around Christmas. But I am glad we got them for him. He's learning from them and he enjoys playing with them and throwing them at his sisters. So, if he's happy. I'm happy.

Great educational toy, but the box is misleading
Love love love these!! They are well made and my toddler class loves them. Great introduction to shapes. However the box says there are 10 bean bags, when in fact there are only 8. I think it is a typo due to it being exactly as pictured, but would like the whole thing more if there were a diamond shape and a heart shape as well.

Nice toy...just falls a little flat in one area.
Well, I really wanted to give this toy an all star review as it just makes sooo much sense. Kids LOVE bean bags and kids this age learn so much from play - it was a good pairing of fun and education. However, when I received the toy, I noticed the bean bags were a bit flat. I guess I would have liked if there was a bit more filling. On a good note, my 5 year old and I throw them back and forth to each other and say the name when we catch it. My 2 year old loves playing hide and seek games with them around her room, and we work on colors. So those of you with more than one kid, its really nice to know that it works for a few age groups. And if you think my games were lame, lol, then they were kind enough to add a list of games for the less imaginative ;-) As for durability, it was a well made bean bag, it seems to have a lining of some sort that would stop the beans from seeping out, also they get tossed pretty hard! And they really seem to be holding up well! And I love the little drawstring bag it comes in, nice to have a place to keep it! Great bonus. Oh well, I guess there is no such thing as a perfect toy! I just would've given it 5 stars if the bag was filled a bit more.

FUN and Educational
My kids love these. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. My 2 year old doesn't know his shapes and is colors (very well) and we got these to help him out. He can recognize most of the colors and some of the shapes and we've only been working on it for a month! For some reason flash cards didn't work. Seems like my little guy is a textile learner! My 4 year old already knows all her colors and shapes but uses these to spell the shapes. She almost has them all memorized. She is very creative and lays them out in different ways to create chairs, rocket ships, houses...you name it. It's fun to watch them play with these. So happy with this purchase.

Cute!
Purchased for my 18 month old grandson. The shape names are written on the beanbags, and it's good for teaching shapes as well as colors. They seem to be well made, and the little guy has been enjoying playing with them, as has his sister. Of course, one of their favorite games is throwing the beanbags at each other, or ganging up and throwing them at Daddy and Mommy, but they're little, and at least they're using the names of the shapes as they throw them.

Beanbags are so great for toddlers!
I love beanbags for toddlers. You can play all sorts of games with them, including catch. Little ones stand a much better chance of actually catching a beanbag than a ball, and when they miss, they don’t roll away. These are fun for teaching shapes and colors, too. I’m a grandma who keeps just a few quality toys around for visiting grandchildren, and these are fun & versatile & will get lots of use.
