A nice upgrade!
It was really easy to switch out the "chrome plated" plastic version that came on my 2 gallon Anchor Hocking jar. This spigot looks much nicer, and operates more smoothly. The silicone washers that come with it seem to do the trick to prevent leaking. Only had to hand tighten the bolt, and it was secure. The only challenge I encountered was figuring out that you can't turn the handle ALL the way to the off position, or it will leak. (At least on the one that I received, maybe others don't do that???) Once I discovered that if you turn it ALMOST all the way to the right, no leaks, all was good! I gave this product 4 stars for that reason, but other than that, it's great.

works well- but you may have leaks
Works well..I changed out my spout in my dispenser because I have continuous brew kombucha, and I didn't want the previous cheap faucet to leach into my booch.It took 3 days with the new spout to leak. I simply did not have the washer on tight enough. So use caution and know that you may have leakage. It started out slow and then in an hour it increased to 1 c lost! Had I not been home it could have been realllllly messy.

poor working spigot
Installed on ceramic water jar that had a cheezy, poor working spigot. Because of the curvature of the container (about 3 gallon) it was a little difficult to install and took several tries various ways and adjustments. But got 'er done! Love it. Works perfectly and smoothly. NO DRIPS at all.

Essential add on for your kombucha jar
I bought this as a replacement for my Anchor Hocking 2-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar Beverage Dispenser with Spigot, and it worked out great. It was obviously a much higher quality than the spigot that came with the jar, it was easy to install and has not leaked.
