Object of the game: Be the first player to play all your cards and call out "tri-FACTa!"." SET UP:1.....Arrange the cards face down around the board.2. Each player takes a tray, chooses 6 cards and places the cards in the tray. Hint:...numerical order... might make game play easier.3. Make sure all players understand the relationships between the numbers in a fact triangle in which the two bottom numbers add up to the number at the top ".Basic understanding of number relations, with reverse addition & subtraction is important to enjoy & understand game play. Without a foundation knowledge, this game could prove counter productive. Through playing, number experiences will be reinforced, then increased, so improving confidence & thinking ability. We found this a positive addition to our resource cupboard. Confidence has grown with quicker thinking skills & better understanding of the Fact Families. From the information sheet..." To Start: The player who can make a true fact triangle with three cards goes first. If more than one player....player with the largest sum begins the game.... place new cards on top of existing cards on the board... turn the board to face the next player! "." To play:1. To take a turn, you must play 2 or 3 ...cards to create a true fact triangle...addition and subtraction the numbers in the triangle show both relationships!2.... cannot take a turn, choose 1 card from the pile and add it to your tray... can take a turn now, go ahead! If not, keep the card...play continues.3....incorrect fact triangle, take your cards back...next player's turn.4. WILD CARDS: ... play it as any number up to 20. Say the value of the card...when you play it...value of that card doesn't change.5. To win...first player to play all your cards and call out " tri-FACTa! "NOTE: ...all cards are gone from the centre pile and a winner has not been declared, the player who has the fewest cards in... tray wins ".We started with only lower, single number values, gradually increasing difficulty; this game is easily adapted to the individual. Initially we used counters to match up with the cards. This gave visual reinforcement, increasing physical understanding of written number connections. Written numbers alone can seem surreal, physically handling objects made them real. We also made our own cards, increasing possibilities as skills improved. Superb game for the entire family... which becomes greatly competitive when against the clock to 'beat your best!'.

Very disappointing product
I bought these to help my daughter who struggles a little with her maths. Wanted to try and introduce a fun element to her learning. This games is very dull and uninspiring. I would not recommend it.

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant! Very effective and fun for the kids and parents. After we purchased this game my daughters brought it to their school and math teacher was impressed and uses it now during lesson.

paper pieces are NOT DURABLE for the kind of handling required
The paper pieces are very think and flimsy. They are not laminated and not durable for the kind of handling the game requires. The game itself is a lot of fun though. That is the only reason why I am not returning it. I will have to laminate each piece so it lasts longer than a couple of games.
