BioLite FirePit+ Outdoor Smokeless Fire Pit and Grill

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Lights quickly and keeps both charcoal and wood burning cleanly and mostly smoke-free. Seems sturdy and pretty well made although the charging port on my battery pack is not quite aligned, which is probably a manufacturing fault. I would let that hold back a purchase as overall it’s a great portable fire pit.

The media could not be loaded. What I like about this is it starts at really easy works with old pallets not just season hardwood so an app controlled remote for the fan speed the only downside if you can hear the fan but if you have some quite using it music in the background, you won’t notice it

It is compact and beautiful. Quite easy to start firefit with the fan. I wish it is a bit bigger when I use it at home, but it is big enough for my use case.

As we have had a poor summer, I have only used the barbecue twice. It lights and is ready to cook in about 15 minutes -- less than half the time of my previous barbecue. The heat is controllable by adjusting the fan speed and I had hoped to be able to do this using the app. However, the app is not compatible with the current Android version and will not download from Google Play.The battery still had 75% charge at the end of the cooking, so overall I'm pleased with my purchase. Just a shame that there was no mention in the product description that the app is incompatible with the latest Android.

Had the MK1 version of the firepit for many many years. Did the job brilliantly until the bottom corroded and fell out of it. Hopefully they've addressed the issue with the better painting, however ever so slightly disappointed that it doesn't come with an outdoor cover...like the first version did. Regretting binning that bin now. Still it's a great fire pit/BBQ all round.

I don't often take the time to write a review but I felt I needed to warn others about this product. I purchased this in mid 2023 for camping only. I have used this product around 5 to 10 times and it has melted the power unit. Apparently you cannot get any replacement parts for this item so it is now effectively an expensive piece of scrap metal. I would recommend that you avoid this product and just purchase a regular firepit and save yourself a fortune. UPDATE. Biolite uk and the supplier bought the item off amazon were not helpful at all. A simple reply that the biolite had 1 year warranty and they don't sell the batteries separately. I forwarded this response to biolite directly in the US and they sent me out a new firepit+

Gutted was great but fan started to melt sending it back for refund but I do like the firepit

I have been after a biolite for some time so when the Black Friday sale was live I purchased this. It’s so much better having less smoke so your clothes don’t smell, you also don’t need as many logs and it lites quickly.
