Damien Hirst: ABC Book

I pre-ordered this book as soon as a friend pointed it out to me, and I was very impressed once it arrived.The book is a nice size, the largest of my daughters board books. For this reason alone I think the price is more than fair. I like to expose my daughter to images that are a bit more interesting than the basic baby stuff you find (not that there is anything wrong with "red apple! yellow banana!", I just like to mix it up) and this book delivers. It's enjoyable for both of us to explore the images and relate them to the sounds of the letters. Definitely recommend!

Not for the squeemish or for anyone someone who only wants to show kids fluffy, happy things. Pictures could be considered intense for babies.

This was a birthday present for my sister who studies art. She is very pleased with it. Although it does not come with much detail on the art itself (aimed mainly at children) it is still a lovely presentation of the work, a good introduction to Damien Hirst.
