Enjoyable
I didn't buy these comics when they came out. While a little long-winded in places, it's a pretty good story with mediocre art. I agree with other reviewers, the Wolverine story was garbage.

Review of The Arms of Doctor Octopus
This was a good read in the aspect of the X-Men and the Hulk. I thought the Wolverine story was a bit odd, but I loved reading the Superior Spider-Man story and seeing Spider-Man teach the X-Men was a treat! I recommend this to any X-Men, the Hulk, Spider-Man, or Doctor Octopus fans!

Three great comics and one throw-away.
Tl;dr: It's a fun read, but not necessary in the grand scheme of things. The fourth comic collected in it is completely unconnected story-wise, and honestly it kind of sucks. The first three comics collected in this volume are All New X-Men, Indestructible Hulk, and Superior Spider-Man in an intriguing cross-over story. A young Dr. Octavius attacks a college campus while Beast visits an old college professor. The signs all point to time travel, and the story builds from there. The Original X-Men (minus Angel) team up with The Hulk and Superior Spider-Man to unravel the mystery of the young Dr. Octopus. Then there's a one-off story about Wolverine and a professional chef chasing down a serial killer tacked on to the end to help pad out the size of the collection. It's irrelevant to the other three comics collected here, and honestly not really worth reading. I'm giving this collection three stars -- one for each good issue in it. They lost the last two stars on the poor decision to couple them with a pointless one-off.

Great collection of stories for a terrific price!
A gently used copy collecting 4 great stories tying into All-New X-Men. Although used, shows very little signs of wear. Happy to have this book, now!

Not required, but good one and done story.
Regarding the Arms of the Octopus story: Pretty good writing in a one and done story, with good art all around that changes from the three series of X-Men, Hulk, and Spidey. Would have preferred the same artist for all three issues, but the story was good enough and the pencils weren't that different to really mess up the story in any way.

Great read
Great read this basically comes before the All-New Xmen series which I’ve already read all of but this really explains some things I didn’t quite understand fully.

Interesting use of these characters but inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. You would never know if you missed it. Oh! Except "puppy bombs"

Pretty awesome
Pretty good wolverine one shot is a nice addition but it is disgusting with the cannabilism and blood so I took a star away.

Good read!
One of the best graphic novels I've read! It's not apart of any ongoing storyline just a good stand alone marvel team up.

Quality Team-Up and more.
The three main title specials that make up this storyline are well written, well drawn and well combined into a sensible, cohesive, interesting, engaging and fun, self-contained adventure. This is the kind of story that just doesn't happen enough these days of everything being linked to an 'event' and it is all the more refreshing for it.What does not fit and is annoying for that, is the Wolverine chapter and that loses the fifth star of this review. For once here a reprinted 'classic' tale of X-Men, Hulk or Doc Ock would have worked much better.Recommended

'Arms Of The Octopus' is a lot of fun, with a great mix of writing and art styles which hangs together really nicely. There's a 'Wolverine Catches A Serial Murderer With A Real-Life Celebrity Chef (that you've never heard of)' one-shot as filler in the back and that's pretty terrible.
