I ordered this and used it a few times and after 3 weeks, the remote did not work and was not responding. I was unbale to return through amazon because I already got rid of the packaging thinking I was in the clear.I emailed the company about the issue. They were very quick with responding and sent out a replacement right away. I received the new one and it has been working great so far. I am grateful that they were so helpful and quick about the issue.

This was good for the first 4 days but on the fifth day my 11 month old puppy experienced the highest shock during a malfunction which worsened when he stepped into a puddle of water on walk and when trying to take it off of him my poor puppy was so scared and hurt that he turned on me and bit me all over my arm as I was desperately trying to remove the collar that was shocking him continuously. I had to go to urgent care and required medical attention because of this malfunction.

As much as I hate to say it I have a dog that is incredibly stupid. She is a sweet heart, always so happy and wanting to play. She has no sense of danger though and runs out into the street every chance she gets. She seems to think it's a game when we chase her and bounces around happily up and down the road we live on. We have tried to keep her leashed, and be very careful about letting her get out of the house. Still occasionally she will slip out or get free from the leash and run right down the street. Where we live people speed and as it was bound to happen eventually she was hit head on by a car that drug her beneath it for some time. It was a miracle she survived, the vet we took her to did not expect her to live. This accident however did not deter her from running into the street once she recovered, even while leashed she would try to drag me into the street. Maybe she has a death wish I don't know. I like to think she is just ditsy and doesn't get that it is dangerous. She doesn't chase the cars, she just seems to think the road is the perfect place to run around. We got this collar and have really only had to use the shock function about 6 times to stop her from running into traffic. Now she doesn't wear it at all, I just carry the remote and the collar in my pocket and press the beep function as a warning. She will immediately stop what she is doing and calm herself when she hears the beeps. She has stopped running into the street and trying to rip my arm off in an attempt to drag me with her. I can see how some would find this type of thing cruel, I used to be one if those people but given that I would rather give my dog a few shocks rather than having to see her clinging to life or dead after another accident makes it worth it.

Item came as described, arrived a day early, and worked right out of the box with no issues. Very easy to set up and learn to use.I've had this collar for about 3 weeks now. Purchased it to train my dogs to ignore my new chickens.2 words...It worked!Neither of my dogs ever even had to be shocked, the vibration alone was sufficient to deter, and that makes me happy! The option to shock is there, but a simple beep of the collar to remind doggos to "leave it", also works great. The nodes that touch the dog have a soft rubbery feel to rhem, and don't seem to bother the dog at all.The collar itself is sturdy. My dogs work together to remove most collars, one chews off the collar of the other. So far, they have not been able to chew this one, and that's worth the price right there.We have only had to charge the remote once, and the collar never. I guess if we used it more that might change, but because it worked so well, we don't much use it.I have recommended this particular collar to a couple friends, and will be buying a second one for the other dog, if he decides he wants to eat my chickens, but for now, switching it from dog to dog has worked great. Keeps them wondering, I guess?If you need to train your puppers, this very affordable option will work great, and for us, the range is more than enough to reach no matter where in the yard (or house) the dog is.

I was blow away by the quality for the price of the product, and how long the battery actually last. I have not use the shock on my dog, because he responds well to the vibrate, however I tried the shock on myself to see how strong it was on the lowest setting and wow... Never use that on your dog. Great great product!!!!

Very easy to use. My dog has been trained on two separate electric fences so he did not even need the flags in my field and I have not had to use the shock at all to teach him the perimeter. I was able to tolerate the shock on level one, but I wasn't brave enough to try it on either of us higher than that!The battery life is not as long as I expected, but I am not positive yet bc the remote is for 2 dogs' collars and I think I may have been on the wrong channel, but I am just not sure.***I should be clear I am talking about the battery life of the remote, not the collar.For the price, I think this little training collar is about as much as anyone could possibly expect. I'm not sure what 'thickness' refers to, but the collar is not as thick as a heavy regular collar you can get at a pet store and the shock part is the same or a bit smaller than the one for a Petsafe underground fence, but that's the only reference I have for 'thickness' that makes sense.I hope this helps.
