Great product
My “picky” Pointer loves these treats. They do stink a little bit but am sure that is the fresh smell of fish .. which is why my Pointer loves them… my Labs love them too but they love everything!

I looked down and my puppy was rolling in it. One of her puppy friends came over and did the same thing

More like Duck Biscuits Than Strips
I ordered these treats for our cat with allergies. There aren't many single-protein, unique protein treats made specifically for cats, so I often find myself in the dog treat aisle. (Thank you for sharing, dog people. You all are awesome.)Unfortunately, these weren't a hit with our allergic cat or the other two. All three cats went crazy over the treat bag when I brought it out, which is almost always a good sign. I pulled a treat out of the bag and was surprised that it was so thick -- almost 1/2 inch. I checked a few more pieces and conclude that this was the standard thickness of the treat. I'm used to modifying dog treats and had a knife at the ready. Each treat could be easily cut into between 6 and 9 cat-friendly squares. Again we went into sniffapalooza mode. Finally, our youngest cat had a taste, and then a square and then another square. Allergic cat left the room.Later on I tried slicing the treat and grating it. No joy. I did notice that while all three of the cats seemed to be interested in the smell of the treat, they just weren't interested enough in the either the taste or the texture to pursue it. The treats do feel very, very dry to me. If you break one of them apart, they don't shatter, but they aren't at all moist. I'm not sure if that's how these treats are supposed to be or if I just got a bad batch.Since I have lots of natural duck dog treats left to experiment with, I might try pulverizing the treats in the food processor and mixing them with some kind of fat. Just not sure yet what will work best. And don't worry, our neighbor's dog absolutely loves it when we buy dog treats for the cat.

Husky approved
My husky is a picky eater and doesn't like treats, but she absolutely loves these treats. Of course they smell like fish and I think they're gross, but when she's being a stubborn husky not wanting to come inside these smelly treats do the job.

Did Not Work For Our Dog
I certainly do not want to misrepresent the quality of this product. The bag shipped intact, the treats were not old or broken. But they gave my 1/12 YO Shepard mix a very upset stomach. Upset enough that on two different nights we were up all night going in and out the house with her. This was kind of a surprise. The dog is a new adoption and has had no issues with milkbones, Purina One, and my wifes homemade dog food which we have used for many dogs over many decades. But these treats..which I thought I would try just to mix it up a bit.......just one a day at lunch was all it took. We held off a few days to see if it was the treat and sure enough the same thing occurred. We did look at different varieties and chose this one due to the very few negatives. But at 18 dollars a bag I thought I had better out out the heads up because the remainder is going to the local Fox :)

Gets my dog's attention
I use these treats to get my dog's attention. When I'm training, or ordinary "sit"uations, I will use small, boring treats. But if he is acting out, or steals something dangerous, or something "people" think is valuable, I need something to make make him "sit and drop it". These are the treats for that. I need something that smells enough that he knows I have it. It has to be shelf stable so it is available, not in the refrigerator. It has to NOT crumble in a pocket. It has to take a while for him to chew, so that he is distracted from whatever he was doing before. These had helped us change his reaction to other dogs on a walk. They have saved some phones and Kindles. (We seem to be able to train the dog, but it is harder to train our people.) Dog trainers say that the numbet one thing in training is consistency, but the number two is these treats.
