I bought this to replace a very cheap one which broke after a few years use. I decided to pay more for one which claimed to pick up more weight. I'm disabled and have to use one to pick up letters etc when delivered through the letterbox. The cheapie wouldn't pick them up as they either slipped out or were too heavy. (It did work on other things...) I had fiddle the post upright so I could safely bend and reach them. This one picks them up - heaviest item so far a 180 page glossy magazine. Very useful if you can't bend to the floor anymore.

I have just had a hip replacement operation and bought 2 of these - one long one and one short one . They are fantastic - in fact I have re-named them to knicker pickers as I could not dress in the morning without them! They have also enabled me to do my own washing and carry on living alone and independently after the operation. They are sturdy and easy to use. I am delighted - I do not normally post reviews , but these are such good products I wanted people to know.

The only reason I didn’t give it a five is that it would be helpful if you could shorten the grabber. At times it is too long. I found it helpful for picking up items following a hip replacement. It was tricky at times using it to put trousers/underwear on as it’s quite long and you want the flexibility to shorten it. Sturdy product, easy to put together and would recommend. Ps not easy to pick up iPhones of the floor as too slippery 😊

Has strong enough grab to pick things up, even small items. The handle can be difficult to grip if I've used it a lot as my grip strength isn't great so it strains my hand. But picking up with this is good overall, I would recommend

This is well made. The jaws are wider, and it's more rugged than the grabber you get from Dollar Tree. But make no mistake; it's not a crowbar. IF you step on it, it will at least deform. If you try to grab stuff that's too heavy, it will go the way of all grabbers and break.The strength of this particular reacher is that it is easy to extend and fold. It's very intuitive! If you don't like feeling your grabber is giving you an IQ test as you fold and unfold it, this may be the tool for you!It doesn't have suction cups, but I can pick quarters up off the floor with it. I can pick papers off the floor, but maybe not tagboard lying flat on the floor.I use it to reach into creepy places I don't want to put my bare hand, such as behind the washing machine or under furniture. I use it to avoid repeatedly bending over to get stuff off the floor. I use it to get stuff off the top shelves without a step ladder. It works well for this.

It is everything the manufacturer says. It's strong & sturdy yet light weight. The bright orange color makes it EZ to find. But, we found the clasp That holds the unit together when in its folded position will also grip hold of other stationary objects or furniture. We can fold it or hang it. Doesn't take up much room so EZ to keep near by for access. Great product!

Works well. It can be used to have a delicate touch. It picked up dropped grape tomatoes with no squishing.It has a long reach that can fold nicely into thirds. That folding ability makes for a rougher surface on the pole.

This device is sturdier than many and has better lifting power, too. I can use it on reasonably middle-weith items without them slipping, and have been able to pick up cardboard coasters and coins with it, too. It also folds down for storage but I keep it deployed and have one on both floors so I don't have to carry it around. Great for reaching items on top shelves if you're short.
