Raumfeld Stereo L Wireless Streaming...

I recently purchased a pair of Raumfeld Stereo L Wireless Streaming Floor Standing speakers off Amazon. They are by far the best speakers I have ever owned and sound absolutely amazing. Their aesthetics and design are also a step above the rest. While I am really happy with my purchase overall, there is one minor thing that I am not happy with. There is a glob of glue that is visible on the front of the speaker that cannot be removed (see attached photos). When spending thousands of dollars on a product, you should be able to expect perfect build quality. Other than this small manufacturing defect, I am extremely happy with my purchase!EDIT 4/18/16:I eventually returned the speakers. The signal cut out far to often and was not restored until I turned the speakers off and back on again. This happened a lot after using Spotify Connect.I also had issues with the speakers going into standby mode when I paused my television and not coming back out of it. Turning off auto-standby mode via the Raumfeld iOS app helped fix some of these signal issues. Unfortunately, by doing that, the user is giving up the energy saving feature they advertise. When I contacted Raumfeld about this issue, they suggested that I change my workflow by turning off the auto-standby mode to prevent the signal loss and also turning the speakers off after each use. They said that this new workflow "is actually the same working flow using an amplifier/AV-receiver with a speaker system". They also said "the Standby function is from our perspective an extra feature to safe energy when there is no sound input." That response is not acceptable in my opinion. There is no such thing as an "extra feature". A feature on a device either works or it does not. I find it ridiculous that a manufacturer would label a feature as "special" so that when it doesn't work, it is "okay" because now the speakers act just like any other normal pair of speakers.Raumfeld speakers come at a premium price. This premium price is due to the features that set them apart from the competition. One such feature is "certified efficiency for environmentally-friendly low energy consumption." If these features do not work as advertised or claims are not met, the speakers do not warrant their premium price. I should not have to change the standard workflow. There is a good chance that my speakers were either a defective unit or all Raumfeld speakers have a defective design.EDIT 4/21/16:After further correspondence with Raumfeld via email, I was told that the issues I experienced with my speakers are expected behavior. Apparently, it will happen on all Raumfeld speakers, not just my pair. I was told that the behavior of the speakers going into standby-mode after the line-in input (ex: 3.5 mm plugged into television to split RCA cable plugged into speakers) is paused and not coming out of standby mode when it is resumed is expected. A customer service representative told me that the speakers can only "wake up" from standby mode if any input other than the line-in such as Tidal and Spotify is played or by turning the speakers of and back on again. The only way to avoid this strange behavior is to disable the energy saving standby mode all together. I find that extremely surprising. In my opinion, this is a huge design flaw as auto-standby mode is turned on my default. The option to turn it off is hidden deep within the app and is hard to find. I didn't even know the button you have to click to get to the option to turn it off was even clickable!EDIT 3/6/17:After these speakers went on sale, I bought them again. I thought at this price, even with the issues, they are totally worth it. With my new pair, I have no experienced any of these issues. Updating my review from 2 stars to 5.

Bought these for our living room after hearing how amazing the S sounded and we were not at all disappointed. They were easy to integrate into our current system but can play independently as well. The two speakers fill the entire room with rich, full sound and look incredible while doing so. The USB port in the back is so convenient because we can immediately access an entire library of music without having to stream directly from a device. Love Raumfeld sound so much we ordered the Soundbar too!

Only 1 speaker arrived, and the box was full of giant holes. Total letdown. I tried to figure out how to do the exchange to get the second speaker but it was far too complicated. So now I have one speaker instead of two.

Amazing sound, design, and technology.Sound - Amazing bass and sounds full and clean, even at high volume.Look - My house is all modern design and these blend right in. These speakers are beautiful and actually look like works of art.Technology - I am a bit of a techno-idiot and these speakers were easy to set up, even for me. Also, my spotify works directly to these speakers using my wifi. Don't really know how it works but basically, these speakers are just another device when I am in my spotify app. I can even play music through these speakers when I'm not home. Amazing. I actually started with the smaller speakers and decided to get these because I was so impressed. I would recommend these speakers to anyone.
