Wow, usually I receive a product and think of one or two ways it would better suit my needs, but this talking alarm clock has been so well thought out and designed for the elderly or anyone who needs lots of reminders during the day. It is very easy and logical to program and set up. I loved that I can record whatever specifics I want to help my mom to remember the time and dosage of a new medicine she needs 4 times a day and a different one 2 additional times (with room for 2 more reminders if needed)! She enjoys hearing my voice and there is time for me add a little explanation as well as a personal message of love. The screen as well as the buttons have large simple print. We especially like that there are easy slide buttons on the sides to fully adjust the volume and the brightness. The message continues to repeat until she presses the OK button. How simple is that? At 92, she is usually overwhelmed with any technology, but she absolutely loves this helpful device! We are so appreciative we wish we could thank the thoughtful designers personally! P.S. One year later I contacted OKRA customer service because I needed help with deleting an alarm and didn't have the manual with me. There are great explanations online, but the Customer Service Rep emailed me back right away with very clear and helpful directions AND then even followed up with me again the next day to be sure I figured it out satisfactorily! Amazingly caring and helpful. Great to know there is excellent customer service to back up this product if ever you need additional help!

I have 4 kids (ranging from 6 years down to 1 year). I bought this clock to help my wife manage the kids.The clock has all the important activities set up and my wife loves the option of the soothing tune or voice message to remind her. The clock helps keep the family and the nanny organized for the week. The clock has a weekday and weekend setting which we’ve found really useful.My friend bought us another one to put in the kids bedroom. My eldest son loves being in charge of getting the other kids up and on with their chores and the others feel like it’s a game to finish getting ready and pressing the “OK” button when they’re done.My 3 year old is now at the stage of waking up at 5am and wanting to start the day, waking the others in the process. We have taught her that when the “moon” is on the clock she should stay in bed. It seems to be working.My wife says the screen acts like a night light, she can adjust it up and down and is useful for when she is going into their bedroom to breast-feed the baby at night. She charges her phone through the clock and plays on her phone while she is breast feeding. She’s really happy with the clock and feels like she is screaming less at the kids about the day to day.I think this clock is really high quality and a perfect fit for any busy family.

This ORKA Talking Clock. Voice Recordable Medication Pill Reminder is a wonderful device and well-thought out. I wish I had found this sooner for my mom, who I need to call or visit at least twice daily to ensure she remembers to eat. I still call and visit, but just to make sure the clock worked :). I'm happy that I have backup in case I'm late or her phone line is down, which happened recently. She also does not speak English, and the fact I can make recordings for her that she understands in my own voice is much more effective than a different clock I purchased that simply flashes a message across the face with music.This ORKA clock has a loud adjustable volume, and it will continue to repeat (for 30 minutes) my message as to what day it is and to eat breakfast or dinner until she presses a big button on the top of the clock which is a big black square. I covered the other buttons on top with white paper and tape so she can easily recognize, see and press the one big black button. While my message is playing, the clock face slowly flashes so that it's somewhat recognizable as a beacon (I wish it flashed a bit faster actually). Overall, this is a great clock, and gives me peace of mind as a safety backup. My mom can understand my message, how to turn off the message, and is able to function more independently. I'd highly recommend this useful device.

Nice big display, easy for an elderly person to read. Up to 8 alarms can be set with either tone or voice message. Settings are easy to use sliders and large buttons. Alarms will continue to sound until the big OK button on top of the clock is pressed. Alarms can be easily muted with a slider if the owner is going to be away from home, such as at a doctor appointment.The only problem I had with it was that the clock kept resetting when I would accidentally bump the power jack on the back of it. This didn't affect the alarm settings as there is a backup battery. I recommend placing this clock somewhere where the clock and power cord aren't likely to be nudged or disturbed.

Love the functions of this clock, especially the ability to record your own voice reminder alarms! It is easy to use and set up. Great alarm clock!

I got this format mother who keeps forgetting what day it is. The voice in Spanish and the language sounds clear and she’s able to understand it. The display she likes very much too. It has a battery back up . I set it up at my house and then plugged it in at her house 1 hour later and everything was still working just as I had set for her. That’s good because the plug did keep coming off. I had it for one day to test it and it kept coming off the back of the clock anytime I moved it or tried to push the bottoms on the top. It also kept coming off the wall plug too at my house but at her place it stayed plugged on the wall. Bug other than that it’s good and she’s happy.
