Perfect to replace a nest of splitters
I used this Amp to replace a grounded coupler, a three-way splitter and a four-way splitter as well as 2 short, bent coax cables in my box on the side of the house. For those that don't know, each splitter cuts the signal roughly in half creating a 3.5 to 4 db loss. A 3 way or 4 way splitter is really a combination of internal splitters, so the ports are usually labelled with their total loss -- 3.5 or 7 db. I had some rooms getting a combined 14 db loss through those splitters. Upstairs, I had another 4-way splitter, so in combination, those rooms were seeing a 21 db loss before swapping out the splitters for this amp outside. The difference is night and day. My digital cable box that had issues occasionally now works perfectly fine, the TVs upstairs that struggled to tune to higher channels find them just fine now & the analog stations are more clear. I may not be able to attribute my cable modem's improvement to the amp, but I noticed the cable tech had placed my modem/VOIP line on the 7db port instead of the 3.5 db port on a 3-way splitter, so when plugging the modem/VOIP line into the amp on the modem/VOIP passthrough port, the quality of my cable modem connection improved -- the upstream power level went from 44 db to 40 db (about the difference between 7db and 3.5 db) and also the signal to noise ratio improved by 1 or 2 db across the board.Highly recommend for anyone with more than 4 cable drops and a cable modem.

Great distribution center
Installed this to replace a 20 year old antenna amplifier that was with a single output and tied with multiple splitters. Removed old amplifier and all the splitters and installed this unit. Performs flawlessly. Great item. Answered my problem.

Get this amazing splitter
This splitter/amplifier is awesome. I currently have my cable modem and six tvs using HD. My setup consists of only TiVo products. (Three roamio plus, and three TiVo minis). All of these devices are connected using MOCA and a POE (point of entry) filter. I have no problems with my moca setup. I also have comcast Internet. I pay for the 105mbps plan. I get consistent speeds of 120mbps. Before this amp I would only get 90mbps. Netflix and on demand work flawlessly as well. This is because of the active return the amp provides.I know its a lot of money to spend on a cable splitter but it's worth every penny. Even if you don't use it for the moca feature.

This is an excellent, commercial grade amplifier
This is an excellent, commercial grade amplifier. Return path amplification is not usually needed or particularly recommended. However for me it completely solved a problem of random periods of moderate internet packet loss, presumably making up for upstream noise from other customers on the same cable node. This should only be used if all the cables connected to it are good quality and firmly tightened. If used with poor or loose cables, any noise picked up by them will be amplified and fed back to the cable system, and can result in a visit from a cable company tech.

With the Electroline we have good signal for all 6
Placed between 6 cables going to 6 tvs in the house, after a 50' cable run from an outdoor antenna. With unamplified splitters we lost signal altogether after going to 3 tvs. With the Electroline we have good signal for all 6, each of which has a long cable run to all parts of the house. Very satisfied. Worth the money. Couldn't cut the cord with the cable company without it.

Finally No Pixilation!
This product has done an excellent job, As I have major issues for cable TV and internet using Cablevision and I am the very last house (out of 40+ houses) on the line. Cablevision came in many times and put boosters and high yield splitters and I still would get picture pixilation and slowed internet. After stripping all that out and placing this one unit, my settings increased and removed my issues. Keep in mind, I have pole to this box, and home runs to internet modem and home runs to each TV.

quit working unexpectedly
I purchased the EDA2900MMA from Amazon a 1 1/2 year ago. I connected the device to an rooftop antenna. To avoid any surges to the device, I plugged it into a Tripp Lite Surge Protector. The device worked well on 4 TV's in my house. There were no issues however one day it completely stopped working. I verified the antenna reception with another device and it worked. The green light is still on but there is no output. I gave it 2 stars since it did work for a year and a half however the device does not have any moving parts therefore I was hoping it would last longer. I do not know if there is a warranty on the product.
