As others said, it has nothing to do with AGE.. Dose is based on WEIGHT... One tablet for 10kg body weight. So, for a 20kg dog, it's 2 tablets.. For 25kg it's 2.5 tablets For 30 it's 3 tablets Mine is 28 kg and she gets 3 tablets

does the drontal plus worming tablet cover the dog for lungworm?

They only cover TAPEWORMS and ROUNDWORMS. No hookworms or lungworms. Always read the label

Is it a lungworm preventative

Absolutely, definitely not. Drontal can be used with advocate from the vets and is licensed for killing lungwom and dermodex mites which if advanced is very difficult to get rid of. Means buying advocate every two weeks until skin scrapes come back mite free. But used monthly as a prevention it kills most worms, fleas, ticks, lice and lung and heart worm. Both fatal in dogs if not diagnosed early. But drontal kills all intestinal worms. I use both at different times
