I'm a fairly accomplished modeler (I think), but I purchased this kit to build with my 8 year old grandson. We spent about 5 days working through it - I helped quite a bit but he did most of the painting (95%) and 80% of the gluing. I put on the decals for him. It was a buddy build and what I hope will be the first of many for him. This kit was great and includes sufficient detail for a more advanced modeler to enjoy it as well. I would buy another one.

Great model kit! Detailed well fitting parts, easy to assemble. You definitely need to thin the paint.

Be very careful taking it out of the package. The pieces are very small; it is not easy but very fun to do if you love to build models.

I have not put 1 of these together for approximately 40 years, parts are a little smaller than I remember, but I was a lot smaller too back then, loving it, having a blast putting it together, Spitfire is already in cart on Amazon

One of airfix’s better kits. Good crisp details for the size. Paints are useful for beginners or if you just need them in general. Seller I bought from shipped fast and on time. Seller was VRC Hobbies.

This is a very good kit and there was no issue with it at all. The tiny pieces are hard, but if you have some tools they will help.

These are not BEGINNER models. I didn't pay close enough attention to the scale, but some of the parts were so small they were impossible to cut out without breaking. I ended up building one of the three I bought for my 10 year old son, as there was no way he was going to be able to build it. If these are skill level 1 kits, then I shudder to think of what a skill level 4 kit requires.

Challenging kit. Good for beginners.
