Q: Is there a way to hang the basket and for it to be straight? It hangs from the wall at an angle

Use a slightly bigger screw and tighten to the wall. Mine did that but I don't mind it. If your using in the bathroom , the tilt is handy as the water doesn't sit on the metal. They do rust!

Q: Are these strong enough for vegetables.

Really good quality well finished and strong, will definitely hold vegetables. If there is a drawback then it is that they 'lean' slightly forward when screwed to a vertical surface, that is they are at a slight angle. This is easily cured by placing a sticky backed piece of rubber to the surface at the bottom edge of the basket. I would definitely buy them again.

Size at top approx 407mm x 152mm. Size at bottom approx 385mm x 130mm. Height approx 155mm. Hanging hook approx 32mm high.
