Real review from a real person of a great rack for the intended purpose
First I bought this at Dick's for $299, but I saw negative reviews and decided to add a fair review. For the price this is a great rack and my standard olympic bar from china fits on it with plenty of room. There is at least 2 inches of room on each side. One reason I bought this rack over some slightly cheaper ones is because the cross bar near the floor that joins the two post is 3" off the floor. This allowed me to buy a sturdy but less expensive bench by the same company by the way that did not have the foot holder for decline sit-ups. I can turn my bench around and quite comphortably hook my feet under the bar and do decline sit-ups.I am very happy with it.Last doubt that it will break as all the welds look decent, but if it did, it's just simple steel, I could grind it and weld it if I had to, but would be quite surprised if this ever occurred. On another note few people need over 600 pounds of 2" weight plates. Those that do, have been at this awhile and I am sure would buy a beefier rack

Dangerous for squats
Olympic bar too narrow for j-hooks. Station is 50 inches wide, but space between Olympic bar is only 51 inches. Only half of an inch of wiggle room on each side. Dangerous if using it for squats, but might be okay for everything else. It's useless to me and i can't send it back.

Well Comstructed Rack
I recently purchased this rack and I am very satisfied with it. I'll share the pros and cons.Pros - solid construction but follow the directions. Tightening the bolts too much can cause damage. Wide range of holes to adjust height so it is easy to do squats, benches, deadlifts and anything in between. Pull-up bar can be adjusted to two different widths and for me, at 5'10" it is a perfect height. The rack does not take up major floor space so it's good for smaller work out areas. You do have to consider the length of the barbell. The spotters are very secure on the rack and are long enough to catch any failed lifts. I purchased my unit from Dicks Sporting Goods for less than $300. The price through Amazon is through the roof.Cons - the width between the two platforms that hold the bar is a little over 52" so with a barbell that measures 52" from the two weight stops, as mine does, it provides little, room when placing the bar back on the rack after doing a lift. The posts that hold extra weights if held on by two bolts. I'm not sure how much weight each post can tolerate but I doubt it will handle too much weight. The max I am putting on each is 25 lbs.

Don't Buy Online
Just like the other reviewer this is way over priced. Dicks Sporting Goods sells this product at 1/2 the price 349.99 don't be a sucker.
