I have a lot of blonde highlights and I've tried other brands of purple shampoo but none work like this one. It's such a great product. It gets rid of the orangish/yellowish/brassiness, but be careful with how long you let it sit on your hair because it will make your hair look slightly whiteish/blueish. I suggest first washing your hair with your normal shampoo, rinse it out, and then wash your hair with this purple shampoo and then wash it out right away. If you still see brassiness, then next time let it sit a short while on your hair. This is what I do, and it works. Just know if you find you've let it stay too long on your hair and it turns it slightly whitish/blueish, it will wash out after a few washes. Don't panic like I did! If this happens, then you'll know to not let it sit as long as you did the next time you wash your hair with it. Lastly, it does dry out your hair somewhat, so I have found it's best to use it once or twice a week, and then use a really good conditioner. I only use Davines OI Hair Butter, which is sold on Amazon. It's pricy, but worth every penny. I keep it on my hair and don't wash it out and then I blow dry my hair, which makes my hair look so smooth once it's dry. Hope this helps!

I have heavy highlights to try and blend my gray hair, and the highlights always turn yellow no matter what after about a week. I used this like shampoo, and left it on my hair while I shaved and washed my face. The results are AMAZING. The yellow brassy color is way toned down. I love the smell too. I used gloves, to avoid staining my hands. I also put on spray leave in conditioner. If you want a purple shampoo that works, this one definitely does. I’ve tried a lot of them, and none of them have worked as well as this in one shampoo.
