Wisdom of Elves and Fairies Cards – December 1, 2002

The Wisdom of Elves & Fairies is a sweet little deck by Gayan Sylvia Winter; translated from German to English by Astrid Ogbeiwi; published by AGM/Urania (AGMuller) in 2001. The LWB simply speaks of Ms. Winter's thoughts, memories, and inspirations for her deck and she signs it from Santa Fe, New Mexico, 2000. The cards are 1 1/3" wide by 3 3/4" tall; with a nicer than average card stock; the art utilizes a simple, primitive style that is simply precious and well pulled off; colors are bright and happy without being obnoxious; they come in a nice card board box. You have the card's color drawing depiction, then a small comment of advice, on the bottom. The only complaint I have on this deck is they are slick! Personally, I love the simplistic messages, that are nice without being fluffy. This would make a great children's deck.

These little cards are a treasure in your hands. Nothing dramatic, or bogged down. Just naive shining images in card after card. It uplifts me to look at them, and the messages aren't hokey or silly. I do a lot of tarot and other oracles, and this deck is for when I don't need anything serious....or some major system. It's for the fun of the spirit.On a side note I had gotten Angel Power by the same author and hated it. The art was horrible and the messages were silly. So I wasn't sure to get this deck, even though I collect all things faery. But a store had them on display where I could look through the deck, and I was instantly captivated with these simple, sweet yet spirtual cards.
