These are by far, the best military socks I own. I have 4 pairs now. Expensive, but they’re soft, the compression is enough but not too tight and they do not make my feet sweaty. I live in Southern California so I cannot comment on whether they’re warm enough for the cold- but they were great in Hawaii during the summer!

I ordered these socks, as the normal coyote brown ones i wear with my work uniform were becoming threadbare. I have commitment issues. I wasn't familiar with this brand, I wasn't sure if they would be itchy, scratchy, soggy, or uncomfortable, so, I only ordered one pair.That was a mistake.I put on these socks this morning, and while they were a bit tight (not as much as compression socks, but more than your average), they made my feet happy.There is no greater pleasure in the world aside from putting your feet into a brand new pair of high quality socks, and if I were a millionaire, I'd buy a new pair every day.These are soft, cushiony, warm (but not sweaty), and the right shade of coyote brown to wear with my uniform. These socks are truly LEGENDary, and perfect for your leg ends. I'll be ordering more.

Lightweight

I am a female and I wear a size 7.5/8. I bought a medium. These fit in the foot unlike most other millitaryish color boot socks out there. They are tight on me in the calves. I wouldn't call my calves big in any way. Folding them over is probably going to work well. I haven't used them in boots yet but they are very cool and comfy compared to the cotton sock I had on the other foot at the time. They are really soft. They come in some kind of sticky packaging that caused pilling when removed on one sock. See pics. I might update my review later when I wear them to work in a few weeks. That's when I'll decide to purchase more or not as these are quite pricey.****Update****Wore them to work. Feet didn't sweat but it wasn't very warm. They slid down to a comfortable position under the calf. Couldn't see bare leg under my uniform. OCPs. Tailored with the elastic. These might be a little thin for daily wear. Might make feet sweat. Not sure if I would spend $20 each.

Best socks for anyone wearing tactical boots. Must have!

Overview:As described.Experience:At first these were the most comfortable compression socks I have ever worn, but 4 hours later they were cuttings off circulation and causing distended veins in both legs. For me they just don't work. Back to over the calf type....

These socks are awesome with my military boot and provide the comfort and compression I need, I would size up if you have big calves, very comfortable.

Fit as advertised. Comfortable and not too hot.
