Coming back into karate after many years away and wanted a decent gi without spending too much. Tried a few and this was by far the nicest material and best fitting one. Slightly on the large side but deliberately shrank it slightly in the wash and now perfect. Good weight and snap, soft but durable fabric.

I needed this uniform for a fancy dress party and I specifically needed a black belt. Having reread the description, it only says it comes with a belt but doesn't specify the colour. I had assumed it would be black like the picture. Unfortunately this has meant that I have had to buy some clothes dye and have spent an evening dyeing it black! Not the end of the world but a little annoying. The costume however is good - if a little wide.

I'm fuller in figure, and these are clearly designed for the more athletic practitioner. If, like me, you're at the 180cm mark but have a waistline that has expanded further than you'd prefer, then I'd recommend finding a gi that comes in a half-size (185cm). Other than that, this is a well made, comfortable gi that is fine for kata.

I was looking for a medium-weight suit which I hoped would be easier to wash than my grubby old Blitz White Diamond suit (14oz). That took at least a couple of days to dry each time (indoors). This suit is medium-weight and is quite soft. Nice cut and generous in the arms and legs - perhaps almost too generous. Size 5/180 fits me nicely at 5'11". Still holding its shape after a few washes and dries in 24 hours. The only snag is that the material doesn't have the "snap" that is great to hear when doing katas/forms. So if you're really into competitions, something a little heavier might be better. But in any case excellent value. Tang Soo!
