Old hinges on the cigar box, had the screws stripped, so I elected to get these replacement hinges. I ended up going to a hardware store and getting deeper brass screws and now the box functions as new

Hinges are nice, well priced and work as expected. But don't even bother with these screws. They're junk. I predrilled into Cherry wood and still 2 broke off and 3 stripped out. Nearly ruined my entire project. It'd been worth it to just buy screws seperately.

The arm keeping the hinge from opening more than 90° need to be recessed into the edge of the wood. So, you'll need to have a mortise cut in your piece for this to work. I'm sure there are better options out there so look around.

The hinges are great, good quality, but you have to mortise a deep groove in your box for the hinge arms to sit in. Depending on thickness of your piece, this can be a problem. I’d say they’re best with 3/4” stock. Any thicker and these hinges might struggle, any thinner and could be tough to get a hollow cut out. Directions or specs would have been useful
