I Use it With a Generator
I have a generator because I live in a hurricane prone area, which means I need a way to get the gas out of it for storage. This is a must if you want it to work when you need it (and you want it to work!) This siphon pump worked great to pump the gas out without the usual gasoline mouthwash rinse. From there, run it until it dies because you can't get 100% out and you're ready for the next storm.

Uses to transfer hydraulic fluid from a very inconvenient inlet in Typhoon Terror XVIII excavator
First off this says Siphon pump but it will pump fluid uphill which is how I used it. I think it may be called a siphon because the fluid may run faster / easier downhill if the outlet is below the inlet but it works fine either way. The hydraulic fluid inlet on the typhoon terror XVIII excavator is at the far side of the operator cabin below a little metal door and is nearly impossible to reach and poor in fluid without spilling. This pump worked very well to transfer the fluid. I over filled a little and had to reverse and pump some back out and it worked for that too. Strongly recommend. The Diesel fuel is right next to the hydraulic fluid and I ended up spending 5 times as much for a DC powered pump for that and after using both I think I would have been better off just buying an extra one of these. Your hand can get a little tired when transferring a lot of fluid but this one is so nice and small that it is just more convenient and a lot easier to keep clean. My only real complaint is the the outlet hose should be about 3 foot longer. It would also be nicer if they included a zip close bag to hold it once contaminated with oil or fuel.

Quality Syphon
The quality rubber "squeeze bulb" is of exceptional grade. Two lengthy clear tubing, metal clamps, which on a side note have little to no pressure to secure the fittings, if they ever loosen. And there is a tube holder that loosely fits over the edge of a container, gas can etc. For choice of purchasing this particular style, the clear tube was customized to length for syphoning gas from a snow thrower into the gas container. The gas was quickly removed by two quick squeezes of the rubber bulb, and the full tank was empty in no time.

This is not the siphon pump I was looking for....
The parts of this siphon pump/device seem good. The bulb feels good and works well. The hose being curved/coiled and having a memory is a pain the first few uses but that is to be expected. My disappointment (and not super surprising) is that after using the bulb to prime/begin the fluid movement (diesel in my example) the siphoning of fluid after releasing the bulb is low volume. It takes forever to transfer fluids with it siphoning. Maybe it will get better after it is used more but disappointed my first few times out. Still on the hunt for an effective one after an older type seems to no longer be made.

Works like it should!
I bought this to empty the gas out of my boat. The 4' long was too short to reach the tank, so I went down to the hardware store and bought 10' and it worked great! I added the 4' to the hose barb on the other end to get a longer drainage hose. If you are in the US and want to add hose, you will need 3/8" ID hose and heat up the end of the hose a bit to get it to go over the fitting. No big deal, just the way it is when converting metric to imperial.

Not worth the time & trouble.
Didn't know after the flow starts, that you still have to continue to pump it the entire time. Takes forever to fill tank. Not worth why I purchased it. Not recommended at all.

Pros: - easy to use and set up - no leaks (so far anyways) - clip holds tube in place - weight holds other end in place - saves my back! Cons: - none! I have a big bulky old dehumidifier that sits on the floor in my basement, and the water reservoir is big and heavy and I just used to dread emptying it. Bending and lifting heavy things can be hard on my back, so I came up with this idea to use this siphon pump to empty the dehumidifier tub into the drain in the concrete close by. Best decision ever! I don't even have to bend down to use the siphon, I just walk by, step on the pump maybe 5 or 6 times, and voila. The entire tub drains slowly down the drain! No lifting! No bending! No excuse not to empty it now! The little clip holds the tube in the tub, and the weighted metal piece I use on the other end to keep that part of the hose in the drain. Easy peasy! My basement is now much dryer because every time I walk by I just casually drain the dehumidifier!

Does its job. Just wish the tubes were a bit longer but it works. Emptied 30 liters from my seadoo which was great. The brass fitting is a bit small, definitely need proper hose clamps to use it as the provided ones are quiet dinky. People complain that the hose comes curled but that's normal for this hose, no matter where you buy it. I just stretched mine out for a day and it became quite straight.
