Dopro Acrylic P90 Pickup Routing Template - P90 Pickup Body Rout

This template measures up well to the StewMac templates. It's helped me accurately rout out a cavity for a battery box that I put in a classic B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock. The price point is excellent, especially considering these things can often go for north of $30.

Do not order if looking for a flat mount box template. Opening is only 1 inch wide. It’s funny because it suggests often bought together with flat mount battery box which is usually 1 5/16 inches.

this does the job - but buyer beware this DOES NOT fit all 9v boxes, do your research on what box it fits first.

These work just like the US brand. You can stack them up and compare (easy because they are clear) and you see that the two are identical in every dimension.

Fits nice and snug, like a P90 should. Easy to use with a bearing/trim router. Less expensive and just as good quality as some other makers.

I suspect stewmac buys them from the same place, it’s exactly the same at a fraction of the cost, a bit more reasonable.

The product itself is good, the problem is they do not give the inner dimensions (which are 2.5" * 1"), so it will most likely work with a battery box were the battery mounts vertically, but a battery itself will not fit in horizontal.

Good template, perfect size...but make sure to measure as this will not work for a thinner, wider box. This is made for the deeper boxes that aren t as wide. I bought this hoping that the Musically box available here on Amazon would work but had to create my own template because this was too narrow. I used it after to install a deeper, skinner box and the results were clean and exact...a lot cheaper than what high end shops like SM are selling it for and does the same exact job. I just need to specify that when you purchase the the shallower box, this comes up as a recommendation to purchase with said box but it doesn t fit that box. Some comments were unclear and didn t address the faulty recommendation.

Added a neck p90 pickup to a Fender telecaster Noventa. My suggestion is to get the pickguard first with the p90 cut out, trace the exact location on the guitar, then put the template over the line. This will ensure everything lines up perfectly.

Exactly like the StewMac one. Perfect fit.
