EXCELLENT, COMFORTABLE KNEE BRACE!
Ten days ago, I (by accident) fractured my tibial spine, in my knee. Using crutches since the injury, cannot put any body weight to right leg, for at least another 3-4 weeks. Today, I went to the knee clinic. After four more x-rays (same as four on the day I was injured), Doctor could see that the fracture is on its way to healing. I wanted to avoid a permanent cast. So after asking Doctor if I could just use a knee brace and take great care not to push the healing process/put weight on injured leg, Doctor agreed. Wrote me a prescription for a knee brace. I picked this one out at the medical supply store in our town an hour later. I was able to try on to get right fit. (My knee circumference, due to swelling, was 16" when I measured four days earlier, so I went with the LARGE size).I am so happy with this knee brace! It is SO comfortable! The best part is, it is a WRAP AROUND, not a pull on style! I can put it on myself! Two large Velcro tabs, one over and one under knee. Adjustable straps over each of those, so you can "cinch" to tighten. I wore it right out of the store. Went grocery shopping with my family, (I used an electric cart instead of walking with my crutches, large store). I almost didn't even feel like the brace was on my knee. It is that comfortable.Brace gives me just the right amount of compression/support, to remind me not to push myself, where my lack of mobility and limited knee extending is concerned. But still allows me a bit of give, so that I'm not stuck in one confined angle, for several weeks, the way a permanent cast would have held me. (Plus it's nice to be able to take off the brace to have a shower. I purchased a shower seat, as I cannot stand that long and don't want to risk slipping and falling. Also nice to take apart easily, as I'm still applying ice packs, at least twice a day). The price may seem expensive (mine was $90). But since the Doctor gave me a prescription for a knee brace, we're able to be reimbursed via husbands employers health plan. However, had we not been able to be reimbursed for the knee brace, I would have felt it would have been totally worth the money!*I'll update my review within a week or so from now.

Be careful about the fit of this product
I had to return this because I found it quite bulky and uncomfortable to wear. I don't think it's the best idea to buy this type of product onlne. If it's not defective and it fits, I end up paying the shipping when it's not comfortable.
