This was purchased as a gift for a 46yo male. He was absolutely delighted with the quality and overall look of the set, he loved the leather toiletry bag it came in. It was the perfect gift for the gentleman who has everything!

So, three stars for the sheer quality of the product. I'm genuinely impressed with the care that went into the craft of the brush and razor. I also enjoyed the natural ingredients used in the products; my skin enjoyed the difference. The reason for the three stars is for two main reasons: the poor quality in the stand/holder, and the lack of a good after-shave. The oil-based after-shave provided great results at first, but after the oil wore off, my skin would immediately break out in rashes and acne. One other downside with the oil aftershave is my face is shiny. It's not the clean the look I'm looking for. One additional star was lost because of the chrome holder. It began to rust after just three days and left a mark on my sink. A real disappointment to cut quality at something so basic. Overall, a great gift idea. However, just not for me.

I was so excited to get this for my so ‘s 20th birthday. He loved it son much (he said it changed his shaving life), that I bought it for my 23 year olds birthday. The only thing concerning was that I thought I was purchasing the exact same kit, but the first one had an all Metal razor where you twist the end and it telescopes open for putting the blade in, and it came with a stand for the brush to hang for drying. The second kit came with a razor with a plastic handle (which matched the brush), and you have to unscrew the entire head to replace the blade. It also came with a travel box for the shaving brush instead of a stand. The differences are t bad, I just would have appreciated knowing how the second one was going to be different. I probably would have chosen a different kit had I known, but not still an excellent kit, and both sons love them.

This is a classy, well built shaving kit. It should however include a brush and razor stand. The brush “stand” pictured is plastic and really made more for packaging purposes. It’s not practical as a counter stand. Had it included a proper stand I’d give it 5 stars.

Purchased this as a gift for my hubby. He LOVES it ... the best part is the shaving soap for sure. I bought him several soaps to choose from and this one had the best smell, lather, quality and least amount of chemicals. The engraving brought tears to his eyes and the brush is really nice compared to many I've seen. I even asked if he had a hard time using the brush because I've read others' complaints and he said no. Really top-notch quality item if you're looking to give a memorable gift that doesn't look cheesy. I don't know if it always comes shipped in a beautiful wooden cigar box but that put it over the top and made a wonderful presentation. I would DEFINITELY recommend this item to others.
