Just the basics
Bought copies of this book to give to my help desk team. It's a nice short read, and very useful information. It's easy to train on the technical aspects of IT support, the soft skills are what make or break the dept though. This book delivers five basic principles of customer service that you can use to begin building a foundation of customer service training on .

Outstanding book for IT Service Providers & IT Service Desk Technicians
This is a quick and easy read for anyone in the IT support customer service business. Whether you are an IT provider or work on a help desk of larger corporation, this book provides no nonsense insight on how to deliver great service. My favorite section was on the principle of Respect and the point that "each of us represents all," meaning that any one of our technicians and the service they deliver represents all of us at our company. I highly recommend this book for all IT people in the customer service business, and for managers and supervisors of IT technicians who deliver tech support to either internal or external clients.
