Eh. I wish I had thought this through before purchasing. I don’t really have a particular place I want to stick this to on my floors. My cats don’t really use it and I think maybe that is why. I have tried putting catnip on it but that didn’t work. They like the cardboard scratching boxes much better. I’m not sure if they just don’t realize what to do with this…

I have a homemade 4x4 post cat tree. These fit perfectly around the front and sides. The velcro that come with them seems to be holding well, I love it! Shipping was lightning fast-one day!

The media could not be loaded.  My cats immediately went to scratch on it and have been sitting on it since installation. The adhesive pads have been sticking to carpet well so far, but I think overtime the stickiness will fade. Considering I purchased it on sale for $10, I'd say this was well worth it and a good purchase.

This mat was a waste of money because it is essentially too durable! It doesn't adhere to the hardwood floor at all and the material is so tightly woven that the cat cannot scratch her claws into it without getting them stuck in the material. It is not like sisal rope or cardboard where the cat can rake their claws across it for pleasure. When she goes to run her claws across it, they get stuck in the mat and she has to pull her claws out or retract them completely to detatch herself from the carpet. God forbid you step on this thing in the dark while barefoot, you will never forget it! Now I keep it under her bed so the bed won't slip on the floor.

My cat is particular, as most cats are. She has always preferred our precious furniture to the cardboard scratchers that are sold nearly everywhere. I even got her a little carpeted tunnel structure to scratch but she hates that even more. Neither of us were happy with the situation. On the rare occasion she would use the cardboard scratchers, they'd make a mess shedding little paper pieces and it just looks trashy. Then I found this! I expected to have to pour catnip on it to encourage her to try it out, but as soon as I put it on the floor she went at it. It makes no mess, it appears to her like something that I may find valuable and hold dear like some of our furniture (may it all rest in peace). I haven't tried the sticky pads yet because she hasn't really ended up scooting it around, but I have it next to a shelf and the wall so that helps. I ended up buying a second one to put in another part of the house. Apart from their ideal functionality and minimal mess, they look pretty cute compared to the cardboard scratchers. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it if you have torbie cats that have episodes of demonic possession and furniture destruction. I'm sure more sane cats would enjoy it, too! And it would be a great gift for fellow cat owners.

My cat prefers this over the cardboard ones by a large margin!

I have 6 cats and one of them doesn’t use the scratching posts we have around. Would go for the carpet/furniture. This helps a lot! She loves scratching it along with my other cats too.
