Fence Post Rammer Heavy Duty 14.5kg 6" 150mm Driver Thumper Knocker Post Fencing Tool

A must have item for sinking any sort of post.We made and comfortable to use.

I used this to ram 75mm posts into the ground by some conifer trees. I wish I had one of these earlier, as I used to use a sledgehammer, which damaged the tops of the posts if not careful. The rammer does not cause any post damage.

Although this knocker is called heavy duty I was worried it wouldn’t be heavy duty enough. It weighs 14.5kg whereas the one I normally get from the hire shop weighs 24.3kg, but this was the heaviest one I could find online.However, having tried it on a few posts today I found it worked well (with the advantage that the ground is very wet) and it’s a lot easier to carry and use than the hired one, an advantage for a fairly weedy 60something like me.

Does the job, but when you've got a lot of post to set in hard, stony ground, it's hard work...I reckon that I'd lifted around 21 tonne by the end of the day banging in the posts for a run of stock fence!Only real alternative is to pay a fencing contractor of local farmer with a driving rig to do it instead.Found it better to use than a hand post auger that I'd borrowed due to the nature of the stony ground (North Wales landscape!)

The rammer is heavy and well made, should last for ages. Made light work of driving posts

The post rammer was well made and was well finished.The overall weight provided the inertia necessary to drive 4" fence posts into the prepared holes with ease

Couldn't have put in 20 posts in an afternoon without it. (We are only amateurs)
