IDW's best Transformers story
IDW's best Transformers story, and stuffed with Easter eggs aplenty for fans of the 1980's Marvel Comics, especially the UK one.

sins of the wreckers - miese story
Der Verkäufer war 1 A. Schneller Versand. Alles Top.Allerdings ist die Story total beknackt und im Vegleich zu "The last stand of the Wreckers" miserabel schlecht. Wer "The last Stand of the Wrreckers" kennt, wird brutal enttäuscht. Alle Decepticons hier sind Tiere im Altmode. Einer verwandelt sich in einen Wal, einer in einen Feldhasen. Was soll so ein Müll?

Wreck. Rule.
Having read Last Stand of the Wreckers, I had a good sense of what to expect from this. Emotional issues for giant robots and savage violence with beautiful art and great writing and that is pretty much what you get. Prowl, master Autobot strategist has gone missing, having been called to Earth by Verity Carlo, a human with ties to the Transformers. Arcee and Kup go to find him and bump into what's left of the Wreckers, including Impactor, Springer and Roadbuster. They think Verity and her protector, Stakeout, have kidnapped Prowl but the real kidnapper is more primal and creating new breeds of transformers on Earth. It's a great little piece and gives us a chance to spend time with under-used characters. Some of the setpieces are very clever and the action is cinematic and the sort of thing only Transformers comics can do.So why not five stars? Well, to be honest the tone is unremittingly dark. I think there could have done to be some sort of lightening effect either in one of the characters or some of the events. It borders almost on becoming farcical in terms of how many issues the characters have. It never does fall on that side though, so don't let me misguide you on that. This is still a superior piece of Transformers fiction and well worth a place in your collection.
