I have used--and loved, Loved, LOVED--these incredible clips for over a decade. The advantages are multitude: 1) Pages, whether 2 or 40, are held TIGHT. And that doesn't even address using the smaller or larger models. 2) The clips are stainless steel = no rust. Not even after years of storage. 3) They are reusable--endlessly. I've never had a single one fail. Well, maybe 1 when I forced it onto too many pages--it wasn't fond of closing tightly after that. 40 means 40, not 52. 4) They slide right off when you do that on purpose--and do not mar the paper at all. 5) The dispensers, in all their colors or clear, are easy to use and reload in a flash. And they keep the clips from cluttering the desk with loose (or tangled like paperclips) clam clips. 6) The clips also come in 5 colors beyond just the stainless silver. Each color is distinctive and attractive. 7) The clips do not hang up or hook on anything else. They are so sleek and take up only a smidgen more depth than a large paperclip, but are so smooth nothing snags on them. Even that small depth increase amounts to nothing if you vary where you clip on the paper edges. Now, compared to the butterfly clips...just don't go there. They are vastly superior. 8) They can also be used for crafts and hobbies. [Consider quilting and sewing.] Do a MacGyver on them and you'll find gazillion uses. How 'bout holding a place in a book, like a cookbook? Or marking particular pages with assigned colors when studying? Almost anything a paperclip or butterfly clip can do, the clam clip can do better and more securely. I haven't applied my self yet to jewelry designs using them...but don't let that stop you. 9) They make fantastic gifts. One size fits all!! The disadvantages? 1) If you lose the dispenser...too, too bad. I suppose you could work out some way to get these tight little puppies onto a handful of papers, but I wouldn't want to try it. 2) They would be totally useless to unbend and try to reset some electronic gizmo. 3) If you use them on papers you have to hand over to other people, you probably won't get them back. In fact, once you've given away one, guard your dispenser or it will have a tendency to wander off. There are more comments to make on these, but unfortunately, they will not hold thoughts together and I can't recall all I wanted to shout about. If you find you don't like these little darlings, feel free to send them to me. I'll give them a good home. Whoever conceived and engineered these deserves a raise! Just ask me, I'll tell you why. Elegí el modelo rosa con clips plateados, porque era el que estaba más barato e iba a comprar una caja extra de clips de colores. Así tengo un color más. Cada paquete de dispensador + clips traía un tipo de clips diferentes (plateados, de colores, de emoticones...), así que hay para elegir. Para usar los clips es imprescindible el dispensador. Su uso es muy fácil: Cargamos los clips por un extremo, e introducimos la boquilla por el taco de papel, con cuidado de que no se muevan, y desplazamos el botón con muelle hasta que oigamos un click. Puede hacer la función de grapa en esquina, o simular un encuadernado tipo libro si se ponen varios en el lateral. El aparatito funciona muy bien y, efectivamente, sirve para pillar tacos grandes de hojas (en principio hasta 40). No obstante, si se quieren pillar grandes tacos, cercanos a 40, y se quieren quitar y poner, yo recomendaría usar el siguiente tamaño de dispensador, ya que los papeles quedan un poco apretados y puede dejar marcas. El sistema de dispensador es muy cómodo, más firme que un clip, y muy fácil de quitar. El único inconveniente que le veo es que, una vez quitado el clip, es necesario recurrir de nuevo al dispensador para volverlo a poner. Pero es una buena alternativa a valorar, complementaria a los tradicionales sistemas de clips y grapas. En el envase, además, sugieren otras opciones, como cerrar bolsas de alimentos. Y no me parece mala idea, visto lo difícil que es a veces cerrarlas decentemente con una pinza normal. Cosas a mejorar en el producto: Poner un embalaje que no se destruya al abrirlo, y que permita guardar por lo menos los clips. Nada más abrir el paquete, lo primero que hay que hacer es buscar una cajita para poder meter los clips y que no se pierdan, cosa que se solucionaría invirtiendo el mismo plástico y cartón en un diseño un poco más pensado.
