It is definitely helpful because generally when 1 of us gets sick, we all do... no matter how vigilant I am about cleaning and hand washing. My kids and I don't mind the taste either. As for Delsym, this has always been a trusted brand.Here's what I did. Before purchasing this set, I went to the local big box store (The W) and for just ONE bottle of Delsym, same product and all, was $9.98. When you can buy TWO for the price of one, there's no question.This duo combo has both the daytime cough suppressant and nighttime. The flavor is different in both, but all of my children seem to enjoy the flavors. Delsym is my go to cough medication and it works so well for me. I started using Delsym as a recovering alcoholic because it was one of the few alcohol free cough suppressants. For me, a dose usually lasts more like 8 hours before I begin to cough some. But I still get suppressed effects for longer. I always have Delsym on hand lately because I have had a chronic cough as a result of Whooping cough. If this can suppress Whooping cough, it should work for anyone with any cough. The only thing I dislike about it is the taste. Neither the orange nor the grape are very good, at least to me. But I can always get past the taste for a product that works so well.
