Redken Blondage shampoo and conditioner are game-changers. They keep my blonde bright, cool-toned, and keep the brassy color away. Bought it for my mom, she has platinum highlights and it is really good. She says it is by far the best purple shampoo she’s ever had. Just for context she has 3b curls and really dry hair, not just that but a lot of allergies so she can’t use just anything on her hair, and it didn’t give her any allergic reactions or any problems whatsoever.

My hair stays very bright and silky with this Redken product. I used to use another more pricey shampoo and conditioner, but this one has a much better smell and my hair retains a nice bright blonde. No dulling or coppery color.

This conditioner is no where as pigmented as the shampoo. I am not certain if it helps all that much with the alleviating the brass, but since I want optimal results, I use both the conditioner and shampoo just in case I need both for my hair to be at its most platinum. Before I started “doctoring” up both this conditioner and the shampoo, my scalp would itch like crazy after use. Now, I add moisturizing conditioner to both the shampoo and the conditioner before use. I also wash my hair with a moisturizing shampoo before adding this conditioner. I then mix this conditioner with a super moisturizing conditioner and let it sit on my hair up to 10 minutes. Using both the shampoo and conditioner, my hair is super platinum and the brass is delayed longer than when I use other purple shampoos and conditioners.

I bought the Redken Blondage Color Extend at the suggestion of my hairdresser. This has been the best shampoo and conditioner I have found to keep my platinum blonde highlights a beautiful even color without looking brassy. I have found that it does successfully extend the time between color treatments as well; I can easily go 6-8 weeks by using Redken as compared to 4-5 without. My only complaint would be that it is a bit drying so I have found I have to switch out for a highly hydrating shampoo and conditioner every second or third time to keep it in good condition. It is also important to follow the manufacturer’s suggestions to get the very best results, such as shampooing 2x and leaving the product on for approximately 5 minutes before rinsing for the very best results (if you want to lighten up a bit without the yellowing).

I’ve been using Redken shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months now, and the difference is amazing. My hair has way less breakage, feels stronger, and I’ve definitely noticed improved growth. Another bonus — I don’t need to wash my hair as often! It stays clean and healthy-looking for days. Highly recommend if you’re trying to grow your hair or just want it to feel healthier overall.

This item is over rated and over priced! There are products out there far better or the same and not as expensive. I tried and will never again.
