Favorite hair product!
I have coarse, thick, very wavy to curly hair but not like actually curly. I get the underside curly and wispy hair that gets ringlets but the overall hair is just wavy. The control for humid days is 7/10 but the overall softness and way it makes my coarse textured hair feel - best product so far

Great for Fine Hair.
I have fine hair with a natural wave. This product allows me to air dry my hair without frizz while maintaining body. it feels weightless and does cause build-up or oiliness. After years of trying different different high end products, I finally found something that works. Knock on wood.

It's ok.
The scent was pleasant. The cream was not super heavy but not light weight either. It was not cheap but not the most expensive stuff I have ever gotten for my hair. I have 3b and 3c curls. This stuff while it did help give me some form and curl control, it also made my hair feel heavy and gross. I just don't feel like all the ingredient bragging this company does shows up in this specific product. I wasn't super impressed. If you have ethnic hair you may want to look elsewhere.

Works great
A little too pricey. But it does work for volume and heat protectsnt

It works for me!
I purchased this product after Redkin quit making the shaping cream I had been using. It's just as good and may be less expensive. I highly recommend it to men with average hair.

Awesome wash day base cream!
I love, love, love this product. It is exactly what I need in a wash curl cream.I have naturally curly hair. Thanks to Covid, I’ve only been able to get it cut and colored once in the past year. Which means I had to learn to manage my mop while washing it a LOT less than I was used to in the before times. (Now, I only wash my hair every four to six days.) So I’ve become something of a connoisseur of products for curly hair. One of the things that I’ve learned is that it’s tricky to find a good base curl cream — one that provides enough shape and definition without being so heavy that it weighs hair down or can’t be layered with other products on subsequent days, or so greasy that it can’t be applied near the scalp. This product is the perfect balance of non-greasy, weightless curl definition that functions well both alone and as a base layer for other products later.Using this product as my wash day base cream — along with a leave-in conditioner and a *tiny* bit of my favorite texturizing cream — left me with wash day hair that I was really happy with. This isn’t usually the case, as I’m often only really happy with my hair from the second day onward. So I was thrilled to kick off my wash cycle with awesome curls, right off the bat. Day 2, I rewetted my hair and added a small amount of my favorite go-to curl cream, mostly to the ends, and a small amount of setting paste. That was it. Awesome results. I repeated this process on days 3, 4 and 5, and the only other thing I added was some powdered dry shampoo. On day 6, wash day, I definitely noticed that my hair had considerably less product in it overall than before I started using this Authentic Beauty Concept Shaping Cream. It was such an awesome base product that I needed to use far fewer restyling products over the course of my wash cycle. And my hair looked consistently great! This product is pricey. (Current list price is $25 for a 5 oz. tube.) But for me, it’s worth it, because I will actually save money by using fewer products overall. It’s also simplified my wash day routine quite a bit, because it’s suitable to use everywhere on my hair, not just in certain spots like other products. I have a ridiculous amount of hair and I used two quarter-sized amounts. (I sectioned my hair into top and bottom and applied this to each separately.) So, if I do that every wash day, this tube should last me about a month and a half to two months, probably. When I break it down like that, it actually seems like a great bargain!I really can’t say enough great things about this product. I’m so happy to have found it! My hair looks great, and I can finally start weeding out products that are no longer necessary from my rotation. Highly, highly recommend!

Beautiful! Good for fine hair too
Updated Review: Can I add another star or two to my five? I recently had my hair highlighted and used this yesterday on my freshly washed super baby fine too-soft hair. I worked it in from roots to ends and then blew dry with a round brush, and then put in some waves with my BeKind Flex 2-IN-1 straightener curler (this flat iron/curler is fabulous for fine hair!). The result was exactly what I wanted. It made my hair feel 'not as soft' (for fine haired people, this means our hair will hold waves or curls or style better) but it didn't feel tacky or sticky. And, by next morning, I had a pretty cute head of a 'bed head' look.Good stuff.-----I was worried this creamy 'shaping cream' would make my baby fine hair flat, limp, or greasy, but it did not.I towel-dried my hair and applied about a nickle-sized amount to my hair from the tops of my ears down--I put a foam on my roots. I blew it dry with my hot-air brush. The result was a soft loose look to my hair but with more body. No greasy, limp, or flat look to my hair.Today I applied the same amount over all my hair except at the very roots at the front and top, blew it dry, and the end result was just as beautiful. There is a little bit of shine compromise but it's still shiny. My hair is not rough or sticky or tangled. There is just a little bit of a texture feel to it--very slight--that I need for super baby fine hair.I have their shampoo too and love it.There is not an overwhelming scent to this, either. This is a 5oz tube and will last me 'forever' as I don't need much for my baby fine hair.Get you some!
