Is the material made of pure cotton or some polyester?

No! It’s not 100% Cotton☹️☹️ Only 35% Cotton and 65% Polyester. It’s nice and soft but not 100% Cotton texture. So disappointed.

What size are the pockets in this robe? Big enough for a thick paperback or an e-reader?

Big enough for a phone, paperback and not sure what size an e-reader is. My husband LOVES this robe. Very soft and washes up nice.

Is the material of the robe the kind that fur sticks to easily?

It's knitted cotton, like heavy t-shirt material
