Ez To Install
I initially bought the EzWand for my kitchen blinds but decided to use one of the wands for my bathroom since the window is quite high and difficult to reach. The EzWand is very simple to install and works quite well for my kitchen blinds (the width of these blinds are 1 inch thick). After installing the wand for the bathroom (the width of these blinds are 2 inches thick), I noticed that after closing the blinds, and then reopening them, the blinds would get stuck on occasions. I would have to press the arrows on the remote back and forth (3 to 4 times) until the blinds open. It appears that the wand would sometimes get to close to the blinds causing the wand to bounce a little and interfere with the rotation of the wand.I am still satisfied with this purchase as it does alleviate the problem of my hard to reach bathroom window. I've also decided to reinstall my Broadlink Pro and app. After setting up the remote and having it go through the learning process , I can now operate the blinds with my iPad as well. I don't believe that the EzWand can be controlled using the Amazon Echo or SmartThings right now (maybe some macro, IFTTT or other third party system can interpret and transmit the RF signals needed). Although, with so much emphasis on systems interface/integration these days, perhaps it will just be a matter of time.

Best simplest invention I've seen in years
Wow. Best simplest invention I've seen in years. Soooo easy to install and use. I love a home that is automated and remote controlled. I use to keep my living room in the dark just because it was inconvenient to reach the wand to open the blinds. Now I can open them with the push of a button. Call me lazy, I don't care. I have more things to do than mess with the window blinds every day.

great concept, mine "work" but not properly
great concept, mine "work" but not properly... The plastic is flimsey so the small stick provided to hold the tab on the want in place just gives out so it won't turn properly anyways. I wanted to put these in my dormer windows but they are 15' + up so it is too unreliable to put blinds up and not be able to open and or close them. 1 of the wants is also cracked near the top. I had a lot of hope for these.

One works great. One works sometimes
Was very excited to order. One works great. One works sometimes. Thought it would be better than attaching with sticky tape.

Not only was it very cheaply made, the design doesn't work. A lot of torque relies on a tiny nub of plastic.
