I used the product on my GoPro 8 Black. The 1/4 screw in my tripod was unable to screw in deep enough to secure the camera. I had to use a rubber spacer. Newer GoPros equipped with these mounts, such as my GoPro 12 Black, have a depression in the case which allow for a secure fit.

I bought this to replace the stock one on my GoPro Hero 11 as soon as I realized that the stock one didn't have the mounting option for a tripod without the whole mounting shoe.Installation was super simple. Unscrew the existing one using the provided screwdriver (a very nice inclusion with this item), pull that out, stick the new one in and replace the screws using the new screws provided with this. In total, I think it took me about 2 minutes to complete installation.The only con I can think of is that the little wings are not magnetic like the stock ones on the Hero 11. Not a big deal though. They stay in place just fine through friction.The tripod mounting thread matched up perfectly with my mini Manfrotto tripod, and it's very sturdy. No change of it backing out or wobbling off. I would definitely recommend this product.

I'm updating my original review of this replacement folding fingers for GoPro Hero 10. I originally was not happy about the salt accumulation at the hinged points and found it difficult to clean. I don't think this would have been any different with the OEM folding fingers and I wanted the 1/4-20 threaded adapter that is only available with the HSU replacement. Function of this replacement was actually better than original and I really liked how it worked out in conjunction with the HSU Cold Shoe mount that I used on my underwater camera housing. I really liked having both my Olympus TG-7 in a PT-059 housing with the GoPro Hero 10 held together with the HSU Fingers / HSU cold shoe mount. Worked out wonderful.
