I am completely happy with it , I had to but one locally because it took so long to get here but the one I ordered is awesome so instead of returning it because I already bought one I decided to keep it for different color chalk...

Don't buy cheaper products. This is a great sturdy products. Be sure you get the correct chalk color. Some are almost permanent.

I don't feel the extra cost for fast retrieval is really worth it. It literally takes just a few seconds to retrieve a traditional chalk line but here we are acting like a few extra seconds knocked off from the retrieval is an amazing thing LOL. Being metal it's just too heavy to be carrying in my pocket all day long. I guess if you have a habit of dropping your toolbox on your chalk line on a regular basis it's good that it's made of metal. Overall it's a chalk line that does what it is supposed to do. Seems like it's made well.

Care must be taken to collect the wire into the device, otherwise, its rolling inside becomes complicated

Did the job

This worked for a while and it was great when it did. But it stopped working. I gets stuck now, i don’t know why and it’s a pain to get the line rolled back in. It was great while it lasted. The line was nice and thick I’ve seen others that were very thin.
