Awesome DeWalt Battery Adapter
This adapter is simply awesome and brings my old 18V NiCd Battery Tools right up to date and able to use the new Lithium Batteries that come with the latest DeWalt Tool.Simply insert into the Tool as if it were the 18v Battery & slide on the new Lithium Battery...VOILA...job done. Great quality & robust enough to cope with the rocks & scrapes of any normal workshop or worksite. Highly recommended this product.

Saved my old DeWalt drill (Ni-Cad) by converting to Li-Ion battery
This adapter fit my DC725 DeWalt drill (Ni-Cad post type battery) no problem and clicked in well. Easy to remove. I used an 18V Li-Ion battery I had for another DeWalt tool and it worked great. Drill was previously unusable as Ni-Cad battery wouldn't hold their charge and I had renewed them once already. Can't comment on longevity as just received today but first impressions are good. Im happy so far.

Ease of use

Very, very poor quality
Wasn’t expecting much but before I could use I had to straighten the two terminals. The other one I have has 4 pins, this only has two. They are longer than should be so the battery doesn’t fit in well and even though I tried several batteries they all need holding in place. It was very difficult to actually get into the saw and even harder to remove it. Will keep an eye out for a better quality one.

Really works well
I have a lot of older Dewalt tools and now I am confronted with using the new 20 V system. This has provided a budget minded alternative for the conversion.

Works great
I have several older Dewalt tools that still work great. Older batteries are getting harder to find and new ones last longer. This adapter works great. I may have to buy a couple more and leave them on the tool.
