The reflective surface of ReflectYourGear Brilliant Color Reflective is made from a thin film of glass beads. Each glass bead is about ¾ the size of a human hair, is made of high-quality optical glass and is perfectly spherical. They are all coated on only the back side with a very thin film of aluminum to create a microscopic concave mirror - like the one used on the Hubble telescope. This concave mirror allows any light that hits the surface to be reflected directly back at the light source. ReflectYourGear comes in a convenient do-it-yourself kit package. Each package, whether tape or iron-on, contains 30 square inches of Brilliant® Color Reflective. This is color reflective, not just the plain silver. It is designed to either match or accent whatever athletic wear you use. It is cut into easy to separate parts that can be placed on the garment.
