Pretty, yes. Functional, not so much.
Pretty, BUT not very useful. The lid on this butter dish is not tall enough to clear your stick of butter. The lid rests on the stick of butter instead of the bottom plate. If your butter is a little soft it will stick onto the underside of the lid. I contacted the seller and they claim this is not a defect so I guess it's just a bad design. If you want a pretty counter ornament then this is for you. If you want a functional butter dish look elsewhere.
