Solid protein to supplement for added calories
6'3 195lbs. This is a decent protein to start any weightlifting journey. Taste is alright but gets old after a while so I would alternate flavors if possible. There is some clumping. I found mixing with a small amount of hot water first will help break up the clumps. This supplement was able to make up for any missing protein I needed in my diet. It also does not leave a bad smell in the shaker if rinsed directly after use. I would recommend.

Be careful of shipping charges.
I have been using this powder for years and love it. However, the last time I ordered it arrived with over $12 postage due. Refused the delivery and now don't know if I should order it again.

I Really Like This Stuff, But . . .
. . . the cholesterol content is sky-high. I really don't feel like this is a good product to use long term except in moderation - which means a serving or less a day at most. I'm trying to get 45-60 grams per shake and the cholesterol content is too high to justify that.Aside from that, I love the taste and it mixes alright in cold milk, maybe a 7/10. Oddly enough glass shape seems to make a difference - outward taper mixes better than straight wall. Been using this off an on for awhile, but have switched to a protein isolate powder by Nutracost instead because of it's lower cholesterol content.

Buying this in bulk, the big 5 pound, really brings down the price
I have been buying this brand for years. Like everything, the price has gone up and up. I looked at everyone offering this on Amazon and noticed this seller putting on this big, big container and this brought the priceper ounce down, how great is that. I prefer the vanilla flavor, only saw this big size in chocolate, so if this seller ever can offer this big size in vanilla, that would be even better, but I am happy enough they have it in chocolate. I mix it with yogurt, berries, bananas, milk, oatmeal, all these mixed together, etc. so the flavor is not really that big of a deal. Thanks, Mark

Welcome to my ted talk
I've been using pretty much every brand of isolate, and I'm just sick of it. They taste bland and after buying over 10+ 5lb tubs over the years, you get sick of the watery flavor. People criticize this brand for having a "misleadingly" huge scoop, but the nutrition label clearly states how many scoops you're getting out of the container. Even purely on a protein/$ calculation, this brand is one of the cheapest per gram of protein. And let me tell you, it tastes way better than an isolate. it's like trying to eat a steak or burger that's 99% lean, yes it's healthier, but it tastes much worse. This powder will work much better for recipes etc. The better taste and sanity it provides is worth the extra grams of fat. The macros are still good at 200 cal and 30g protein per scoop, most protein powders need to be mixed with milk anyways to taste decent, but this one doesn't. It tastes like hot cocoa. Just heat it up and throw some marshmallows. You got yourself a healthier and sustainable treat instead of depraving yourself of taste in pursuit of the best macros. The only thing that tastes better is syntha 6 cold stone, but after finishing 3 different tubs, I'll be the first to tell you it's not worth it. those things give you gas unlike anything else, pretty sure it's the digestive enzymes they put in the powder, because nothing has ever come close to syntha 6 levels of gas. So just get this

Tasty and effective, unbeatable price point
The protein chocolate flavor is tasty. Some reviews have mentioned that a previous formula was much tastier, but there's nothing wrong with how it is now. Tastes great and mixes well with skim milk, beet powder, creatine powder, tart cherry powder, powdered peanut butter, and any other kind of goodie you want to add to make it super healthy. You can even toss a couple of eggs in and blend it for even more protein. At its current price of $40.00, it only costs half of what many competitors charge, and mixing it with skim milk gives 38 grams of 16-amino acid protein per shake, so it's cost-effective, good quality, and gets the job done.

Great value, great results
I've had quite a few different brand of protein, and this one works just fine, blends OK and came at a great price,Flavor could be better, but I'm not looking for flavor when drinking protein

Quite bulky, indeed
I was recommended this product by a friend. I've tried a fairly small number of protein powders. I was looking for something that was even more budget friendly than Optimum Nutrition and to be honest, it's clear where Body Fortress either "cuts corners" or is simply delivering a slightly different product.First of all, it's worth noting that Body Fortress uses whey concentrate, not whey isolate like Optimum Nutrition. The primary difference here is that, as the name suggests, an isolate is an even more "pure" protein nutrient. What that means in practical terms is that you have to have more of it to get a similar amount of protein. So yeah, two hefty scoops is going to give you 60g of protein in one hefty shake... but it will also mean more calories, more fat and, perhaps most disturbingly, a TON of cholesterol.*That's fine if you want more of those calories, but the thing that I'm not a big fan of was just how much of the product I'm going through so quickly. Even though Body Fortress costs quite a bit less than O.N. you are using a much bigger scoop, so you're going through a larger amount of powder in less time. At the end of the day, you get a few more grams of protein but at an almost negligable price difference. I wish I had taken that more into consideration when buying it. If I ever have the desire to really bulk up, this might be a better option for me, but I already do a pretty good job -for me- managing macros without needing the extra fat contained here.To Body Fortress' credit, the powder mixes easily in milk or water, doesn't smell or taste bad. So for what it is, it's fine. there are some clear compromises/decisions made in this product that don't work for me, though.*odds are that if you are working out and doing lots of exercise you'll be okay, but for those using it as a more relaxed meal/calorie supplement, you will want to take that into consideration.
