This is 100% genuine Philips OEM factory spec HID bulb, which is the same one that most HID equipped vehicles come with as standard from factory. Please note that this is just standard 4300K spec, which is plain white. If you need blue light or white effect, please search for higher kelvin such as 5000K or 6000K. Please note that all HID lights do discolor to become bluer and whiter over usage and loses its brightness at the same time. For this reason, we strongly recommend replacing both bulbs at the same time in order to get even lighting output and color. *** WARNING! This listing is offered at low/discounted price since it comes in industrial packaging just like shown on photo. There is nothing more or nothing less. If you need ones that come in retail box with COA (Certificate of Authenticity), please search for it on our listing. Although the price is about 1.5 - 2X higher than this listing, you will get fancy packaging box with COA sticker. We are trying to make it as clear as possible because some buyer(s) complained about not having COA sticker when it was never mentioned on this listing. ONCE AGAIN, If you need one with COA sticker, please search our other listing, which we also have at just higher price.

HID lights for Prius, can be repalced by a DIYer
These are the HID headlights for my daughter's 2006 Prius. Great price. These are OEM. The Xenon bulb deteriorate in 5-7 years and flicker due to deterioration (?)(since it is a noble gas, it can't really oxidize) but, more likely, contamination of the xenon gas. If you have never done this before...do view a few YOU-TUBE videos on the technique of doing this w/o removing the bumper cover. You will need a headlamp, perhaps a couple of different sized flat-head screwdrivers. It took me a bit more than an hour. A small, shaft mounted, mirror to inspect the clips that hold the bulb in position is very useful. It is very difficult to do it all by feel.

If you own a GenII Prius and your HID headlights ...
If you own a GenII Prius and your HID headlights are blinking out, get these. Don't bother with the cheap lamps, they don't last and quality is all over the place. 4300K gives the most usable light.

Great Color and Visibility, long lasting and bright!
2nd Generation Prius owners will be familiar with the HID bulb problems. Back in the day, the dealership liked to charge $150 to $300 for one HID bulb! Thanks goodness for Amazon and YouTube to buy high quality parts and learn how to do the work yourself!Originally, I had replaced the factory HID bulbs with a pair of cheap ones, but when those burned out in short order I thought I would spring for the proper name-brand Philips set. Replacing headlight bulbs in the Prius is a real pain in the rear due to the tiny, cramped engine compartment

Perfect for 2009 Prius
The bulbs were indistinguishable from the Phillips HID bulb I took out of my 2009 Prius. The dealer refused to replace the bulb for me because I supplied them myself. The dealer was charging $180 per bulb and insisted the bumper of the car had to be removed to replace the bulbs. Not so. Spend some time watching a bunch of YouTube videos as I did. The dealer was going to charge almost $600 to replace the bulbs. It took me 10 minutes and no tools. Thank you Amazon.

Best Choice for My 2008 Prius
I didn't like how other lamps cost over $100 dollars each to replace my headlights, so I decided on the Philips D4R lamps. The price for each lamp was below $50 dollars. The selling vendor sent me unopened lamps and were in good condition. Installing the lamps took me an hour on both without removing any major parts and the bumper as Toyota had suggested. These lamps are nice and bright and were the right color just like my OEM HID lamps. So far so good...hopefully these lamps will last for a long long long time. It remains to be seen. I highly recommend these lamps for your application...simply be careful not to touch with your bare hands and wear rubber gloves. If you do this, you should be good to go....

Don't like the color but I love the brightness! OEM bulb and fit!
I'm not a big fan of the 4300K color temperature but I read it gives the most useable light. I bought these bulbs to replace my faulty ones in my 2008 Toyota Prius TRD Sportivo 232/500. Let me just say that I didn't realize how old and dim my bulbs were until I put these new ones in. Same company, same type of bulb, yet these new ones are about 3 times brighter! I'm super happy!

works great
Thank you to the review that helped us determine and buy these bulbs to replace the bad headlights on our 08 Prius touring. These new bulbs matched the ones from our car and looked like an OEM replacement bulb. They are working fine since being installed Oct. 2016.

CAN NOT be RETURNED if opened!
How is it possible that this item is sold on Amazon Prime, which offers returns. Then, when item is shipped and received comes labeled ”If seal is received removed, item cannot be returned”.Installed on 2008 Toyota Prius: Fits & works as OEM.Only giving Two starts due to misleading return policy.
