FixMeStick Gold Computer Virus Removal Stick for Windows PCs - Unlimited Use on Up to 5 Laptops or Desktops for 2 Years - Works with Your Antivirus

This is an interesting device that I purchased not long ago. I finally got to use it on two of my computers and it seemed to work very well. I dosuggest that the user pay attention to the instructions on the screen and not to the ad on TV. If you wish to use it on you computers, I suggest youdisconnect any aux hard drives you may have. I have several on my computers to be used as backup and I have thousands of pictures on them,and if left connected to the computer it will add enormous amout of time to the scanning process. You do not just insert it into a USB port and waita couple of minutes: it may take hours to just scan the device. Once the scan is complete, then you are given the option of erasing any errors orviruses found which only then takes a matter of seconds to clean. It took me 91/2 hours to scan one of my machines, but when I detached theaux hard drive, it took about 41/2 hours. I have a lot of stuff on my aux hard drives, mainly pictures which should not need to be scanned. Otherwise, it seemed to work well and clean up my machines. I do strongly recommend it, though I only gave it 4 stars because of the time ittakes to complete a full scan. But it is easy to use and quickly erases viruses once detected. I got mine from Amazon, not the TV and bought theone for two years after first using it and will cover 5 devices; after 2 years you can renew the device for use. You can use it as often as you likeduring the two years. Get yours if you need it or spend a lot of time on the Internet as I do.

Worked great on 1 machine, but the other 3 machines were so far gone, there was no hope. Wiping the hard drives and starting all over were the only solutions other than scrapping. But on the one that worked - wow. That one is much faster and it doesn't take as long to boot up. It's an HP - 24" all-in-one. Removed a few trojans, vipers and a few others. Took overnight but it was worth the wait. And that's with Kaspersky! It's faster now.I only gave 4 stars because giving 5 starts would require it to fix the other machines that were too far gone for virus programs to correct. There was that much wrong.Great product! I recommend it.

It was fairly easy to use, however it didn’t find anything malicious nor did it remove anything.My CPU is very slow and I thought surely that this would improve my issues. I use the Norton Antivirus software routinely, so maybe this is for people who do not use virus protection at all?

The FixMeStick works outside of Windows, does not need Windows, and does not crash as a result of a Windows flaw, virus, etc. That is a virtue, I have four computers: two PCs and two laptops. Originally I bought a three-computer device (excluded one of my computers); later I gave it to a friend and bought a five-computer device (covered all four computers). The two PCs are hardware-identical, so the FixMeStick should have worked on both PCs. However, one PC refused to work with the FixMeStick. I contacted the company and worked with a technician, who remotely scanned the problem PC. Everything is okay now. Their engineers are supposed to let me know why they think this one odd PC refused to cooperate with FixMeStick. This rating system allows whole stars; I would like to call it 4-1/2 stars. It's not the company's fault that I have an uncooperative PC. UPDATE: The company has stuck with me, and stood by their product. I wanted to find fault with them, but I guess this one is on me. The problem seemed to be with the FixMeStick, but evidently the problem is with that one computer. I hope I don't have to replace the motherboard.

I have read the reviews. One of the reviews stated that if you have External Drives plugged in, unplug them because on his computer with the external drives it took 9 hours. Well I have 5 External drives plugged in to my computer. I did not watch the Fixmestick every second, but it took 2 hours to scan my computer. There were only a couple of viruses found and it took less than a 1/2 hour to complete,. Really I didn't watch. I just instructed it to clean and then went in to the other room. When I went back to check a 1/2 hour later it was done. I am very pleased with this, especially since the BEST Geek Squad stated that the Virus Protection I have on the computer will only do so much. Furthermore, Best refused to sell me Virus Software that would clean any viruses to come in on the computer. I will still use geek squad for other software issues, but I am very impressed with the FixMeStick.

I bought mine in 2014, the two year one. Any time my computer starts acting peculiar, I let it do a scan. It has removed a virus or two and some malware. It is a small investment for me to have it handy for home use. I plan to renew it when it expires in about 3 months. I am not a techy by any definition but know enough to get help like this device when I run out of my own ideas to fix my laptop.

Found 3 malwares but still did not fix my problem. Have lost the ability to access my photos calendar email or all of Microsoft store or games. Did the set up and cleanings twice that takes about 4 hours each time.

Very simply to use. So far has done everything it said it would do. Don't like to be limited to how many pc's can be used but I know that is how business is conducted and I knew this before I bought it. Overall, I would not hesitate to purchase more.

I really liked the idea of this but I just couldn't get it to work.. some sort of problem with my computer.So why then 3*? Quite simply because the support the company gave.. there were loads of emails and live chats to help.. they did everything they could.. I know others that use these and work great.. if it was on their service alone it would have been a 5* it is just a shame.. fast refund too..

Do not buy this item unless you are absolutely certain that you have a virus on your computer. I ran the FixMeStick on my laptop and desktop computers and it found nothing at all.

Incredible product. It removed 4 viruses even though I pay for a service?! It is so simple to use. I was amazed at how well it worked. I've told so many people. Don't waste your time or money taking your infected computer to a shop, just buy this and use it once a month or so. Best money I ever spent! Thanks for an incredible product!

Did not remove the main virus on one machine but worked great on the others.

This product does not work!!!! Do not buy!!! I had a virus that was on my computer for more than 6 months. This product could not find it, even ran it multiple times. After hours upon hours of scans I decided to try Kaspersky, it took a whopping 15 minutes to find the virus and get it off my system. This product was a complete and utter waste of time and money!
