Good quality
On 6/28/23 I purchased the Carousel Sliding Shower Chair Tub Transfer Bench with Swivel Seat, padded seat and pivoting arms. I also ordered the horizontal extension kit. I have M.S.and use a power chair for ambulation. I do have a roll-in shower. The product was delivered on time and very easy to unpack. I tried the seat out today and had a few problems. The seat was not wide or deep enough. I'm an average franne female (5'8" 145#).. I was able to transfer from power chair to bath chair The swivel seat was easy to operate as well as the slider mechanism. However, I am returning this particular model because of the seat and back size was too small. I was very impressed with the actual product and I am ordering the bariatric Carousel Sliding chair, with an extra wide seat and backrest. However, the bariatric chair does not have pivoting arms which would be helpful.

Works great
My loved one has a rare disease that interferes with balance, vision, and spatial perception. Having tried two different types of shower chairs I realized none of them would work. Finally, I decided on this chair and even though I had wanted to use it in a shower it turned out the shower space was too small so I ended up using it in a bathtub. It works great. I do wish the electric version had more reviews because the major issue is reaching around to get to the knob that moves the chair back and forth. Do be mindful when putting it together that you have it turned the correct way. It would be great if they extended the softer blue seating around the curve at the bottom of the seat and the danger of your loved one scratching against the metal would be eliminated (a reviewer mentioned that it scraped their loved one's legs) Use a towel if you are concerned or even split one of those noodle pool things if you have that issue. So far, with being careful we have not encountered any issues. My loved one weighs about 145 lbs. and with that weight it seems steady. I don't think I'd trust it with over 200 lbs. though.

works well
I got this and it fits my standard size bath tub in a small bathroom.I had a stroke and can not walk.my left leg gives out.I am able to use this chair and with help I can get ion to it and load my self into thoe bath tub fo a shower .I use a shower head with a wand and this works pretty well. I can not stand my self so.A walk in shower would do me no good. THe chair has many adjustments and is pretty stable and locks into position.i dont what I would do with out it.well worth th money to be able to take a shower.

How to bathe/shower a person with a disabiity.
My wife had foot amputation, did not know how I was going to bathe her, saw this by accident on Amazon. Did not know such a thing existed; it is unbelievably the most wonderful thing I ever saw. When the nurses see it, they ask where I got it from. This company has the best products available and WELL MADE. Amazon is the greatest. We bought all of our medical equipment through Amazon. Thank you Amazon.

Nearly three years and counting
I bacame a paraplegic just over three years ago (broke my back in a fall), and purchased one of these at the time. Retired from over twenty-three years as an RN, I have worked with a lot of equipment. This one has been a stellar performer, unique to my knowledge and irreplaceable for my needs. The superior quality is evident in the look (I love blue) and feel of the materials. My wife, bright, but no mechanical engineer, was able to assemble it easily.Squeezing past the toilet in our 5'X10' bathroom, any other chair would have had me pointed sideways or toward the back wall. With this chair, I make a 90 degree slide onto the seat from my wheelchair. Then, with the siderail in place, I make a 180 degree rotation to face the shower head, then float over into the center of our 60" X 30" shower stall. Facing the front, I can adjust the controls and function fairly independelntly. When finished, I lift myself with my arms and my helper slips a dry towel under my bum so I can slide back into the wheelchair after I towel off. (She dries anythihg I can't reach.) The dry towel slides easily on the transfer board where my skin tends to stick. There is absolutely no lifting required by anyone except me. While showering, I lift myself with my arms so my helper can wash and rinse my caboose, and then there is the dry towel to get me back into the chair and back into bed. That uniquely functional shower chair contributes to the differnce between me living at home or having to be cared for in a facility.I already have a three-year track record with this chair. I did have to replace it recently, but given the strains placed on it when I lift myself with the armrests and the corrosive environment, I feel like I got my money's worth. The forward support for the right armrest fractured. I tried to obtain a replacement part but the response from the company was that the chair was out of warranty and that replacement was indicated.I realized that encouraging patients, aged or not, to begin repairing their own medical devices would likely open them up to all kinds of unpleasant litigation, so the policy seems reasonable and prudent. The chair has functioned faithfully and its functionality has played a role in keeping me at home and happy without necessitating a major remodel. The looks, reliability, and functionality are exceptional. What more can you ask for?
