Quality just cannot be beaten, not now, not ever.
Very simple. In this life, you get what you pay for. This is one hell of a quality lock. I bought it... so I should know. While I intially moaned about the high price, Boy... am I glad I did purchase it. Listen... if you just want to secure your childrens toys outdoor, this is overkill. BUT... if you have lawn mowers, strimmers and other valuable kit you want secured... go for this. Do note...... in this lock.. the key will. STAY IN THE LOCK until you relock it. However, by removing an allen screw you can allow the whole shackle to be removed if you prefer that method. In summary.. yes a professional angle grinder will get thru this lock... given time , but nothing much else... unless you have a JCB to hand which can excert 8 tons of pulling power ? Probably unlikely? Insurance companies rate this 11mm lock CEN4 and the 14mm one CEN 5. That should tell you something.Just one quick point: This lock comes in TWO shackle sizes. MAKE SURE that the shackle sixe you buy fits the opening of the clasp, or hasp, you want to put the shackle thru. I have the 11mm one, the 14mm one is too big... so check this out before you order.Allow me to make one final point, which we all have had to learn the hard way: Remember this: The joy of the low price is soon forgotten, but the misery of poor quality lingers forever.So... from the heart, an absolute top quality lock.Buy it... and sleep in peace.Albert.

Abus a super tough and well engineered padlock.
This is an Abus padlock I purchased a few months ago and thought now would be a good time to submit a review. The lock itself apparently has a huge number of potential key combinations making it very secure from someone potentially having a key that would fit it. The mechanism is very smooth and easy to operate. It has not managed to freeze up even during several sub zero nights experienced over the last few weeks. I think the lock would resist. the attentions of all but the most determined of thieves. I would not hesitate in recommending this lock for your security needs, just make sure what you attach it to something that is as robust and thief resistant as the lock itself. Great engineering and an insurance approved lock that would give you great confidence in its ability to protect your hard earned valuables. I set great precedence in the feedback's left for products on Amazon and always review as honestly as possible. Expensive but so are the things the locks are protecting.

Doesn’t fit at ‘Safe Store’ storage facility
I’m sure this padlock is great (it’s certainly weighty) but I bought it specifically to lock up my possessions in a storage facility whilst I’m moving house and the shackle is too thick. I did some research on this padlock before I bought it so maybe it’s just at ‘Safe Store’ that these don’t fit. Would advise people in the same situation to ask their storage facility what the maximum shackle size is before they buy.

Solid and reliable
Looks and feels bombproof. Everything about this padlock screams high quality. Insurance ratings speak for themselves and I have no reason to doubt the claimed ratings. Two keys, one with a blue led. Made in Germany. That £20 or £30 you could save on a padlock will probably not be worth it if you ever had to test it.Granit is a good name for this. Should last basically forever.

Solid and weighty
This is a solid well made lock. My only criticism is that the key can sometimes be difficult to insert, maybe down to the anti-drill collar moving slightly. Comes with 2 keys, more can be ordered. Don't think your local key cutter would be able to reproduce them. Used with Henry Squire LB2CSRH Right Handed Shielded Bracket. to protect my workshop.
