Works as intended
My pool installer did a poor job with the water bonding of my in-ground pool. I noticed that I would get a tingling sensation if I was standing outside the pool and stuck my hand into the water that had a cut on a finger. I asked the installer to fix the problem but he was unsuccessful. I believe that pool installers are still relying on the the light niche for the wet bonding but if you have an LED light, like I do, they are not providing alternate bonding paths.Ideally, the casting would be installed in a location that is always below the pool level but I would have to dig up a line to get that deep and I am not inclined to do this right now but will in the winter. This will get the pool in compliance with the 2008 NEC. I use a variable speed pump and run it 24/7 so I just installed it in the pump discharge line which is full of water all the time. Bonding of the water eliminated the tingling completely.

Nothing but Problems
I purchased this to bond the water in my swimming pool. I didn't notice too muchof a problem the 1st year with balancing the chemicals, but this year has been anightmare trying to keep my levels correct. After spending an obnoxious amountof money on chemicals and not being able to use the pool due to the chemical imbalance,I had the water tested and found that there was copper registering in my water. After blamingmy children for leaving Bobby Pins and pennies in the pool, which I assumed I had sincevacuumed up, I decided to check the Bonding plug that I had installed and found that it wascausing all of my issues. So I am not sure why there is a product that is made to bond the waterin your pool, that deteriorates and causes copper in the water which screws up the chemical balancein the pool.So Thank you, I Love spending hundred of dollars on Chemicals and not letting my kids swim. Good times!

Pool Grounding? PERFECT!! Read This!
Perfect for my above ground pool applications. I just purchased the correct PVC pipe tee and installed this with Teflon tape. Using a #8 solid copper wire as a full surround pool ground, it terminated at this so that the water that runs through the pipe is also grounded. I then branched off (under the ground) to a grounding rod near the pump and then over to the pump itself. Most people won't even take the time to ground their above ground pool (its local code in most areas) and I don't understand why they wouldn't take the time and effort to protect their children while swimming. Buy this and man up. Do the right thing and give yourself peace of mind.

Excellent bonding option.
Excellent option for bonding that doesn’t require cutting or drilling your skimmer. I plumbed this into my skimmer line just below the bottom of the skimmer (below water line). Just used a threaded T.

I needed this to pass final inspection
The water bond part is required in my county for inspection, once I got the part I went to HDepot and got the correct PVC pipe adapter and fittings (fittings were total of $3.00 or less) to install inline with my pool, found the required pipe near the pump/filter and installed the unit according to the directions. passed inspection, happy camper!

Heavy Duty feeling. Inspector approved it
Heavy Duty feeling. Inspector approved it during my inspection. I bought the PVC fittings at Home Depot and made my own "T" and put it in the return water line at the pump. I don't know if its cheaper to make one like I did or buy one on line. But it's a nice product

Good solution to bonding pool water.
It is very heavy duty, was easy to install as this was new above ground pool construction. A better solution in my opinion then cutting a hole in the skimmer. I took one star off because I emailed the company a question to which they never responded.

Since this was a new pool installation I liked that aspect very much
This water bond made for a very clean and secure bond at the lowest achievable water level point very close to the filter pump bond. This fitting eliminated any holes needed to be drilled in the filter basket. Since this was a new pool installation I liked that aspect very much. Less than $15 in PVC fittings were all that were needed to complete the installation. The code enforcement inspector loved it and the location! Overall the cost of this bonding method was slightly more that a water bond kit for the filter basket but I would do this again on any pool I own.
