Does what it’s supposed to do. Harbor freight hose is a little tough to get on but that’s on harbor freight bit on this company. All other hoses for it perfectly. If you use a harbor freight hose I would suggest using a little dawn dish soap to help it slide on

It's a fine product, but you will likely have to buy some 2-1/2" dust collector hose, as most 2-1/2" wet vac hoses will be too small to fit around this flange. It's too bad. It's not a flaw it this product, it is probably that the wet vac manufacturers don't want to be compatible with other products. FYI.

This Y-splitter is very neat and functions well. I ordered two of these - one for my table saw and the other for my band saw. My table saw and my band saw have two dust ports - 4" and 2.5". 2.5" dust ports generally vary between 2.25" to 2.5" depending on how different manufacturers measure it(inner diameter v/s outer diameter) so you might need a flex hose to attach the 2.5" port to the tool. I have attached this to my main dust collection drop off and connect both 4" and 2.5" ports with a blast gate. Before I bought this I used 4" port with the dust collector and 2.5" port with the shop vac. This splitter effectively frees up my shop vac for other uses. Highly recommend it if you have two dust port tools!

Coming off my main line I wanted a split off to a 2 1/2 for hand tools. This worked perfectly as another powertec item as expected worked exactly for what I needed it for. Hose clamps gripped firmly and the split off fit perfectly. Use powertec for it's quality

This is our third time buying one of these this fitting. We own B&H Woodcrafters a division of The Yard Sale LLC in Newport News Virginia. We have five dust collection systems going most of the time. These are a great way to expand our tool base.

Will allow me to split dust collection between above and below dust collection for router table. It would be nice if it included a fitting to connect 2-1/2” blast gate

I had to return this item not because it had workmanship issue but for the fitting issue. This will not accommodate a 4 inch blast gate or the big gulp dust hood or vice a versa. also it is extremely hard to get the 4 inch hose to go over this 'Y' fitting. Again products are made good but depending on your configuration, not all parts may fit together just fine. I suggest doing a detailed design of how & where you plan on using these parts and more importantly what each one will attache to. Little extra time and planning may give you success in first attempt. Just keep in mind all parts I mentioned in comment are from powertec and since they're all same diameter you won't be able to use them inline w/o something in between.
