Mississippi Barbecue Sauce. Sweet 'n Mild. NET WT 18 OZ.We buy this BBQ sauce from the maker (it is sold by Fremont in boxes of six), a dozen 18 ounce bottles at a time, about once a year. This is one of the sweeter versions of their sauce, with only a tiny bit of a spice bite. Myself, I prefer one of the more traditional Mississippi BBQ sauces, the Sweet 'n Spicy version. There are a lot of BBQ sauces on the market, and personal preferences are just that, personal preferences. No one sauce is going to be everyone's favorite. I tried all the Mississippi sauces that were on hand in the local Star Market. I bought them while they were still available, as the store stopped carrying them due to a lack of demand, probably due to a lack of advertising by the maker and the supermarket. The bottles I bought were on sale and had a bit of dust on them, but they were still good, so I bought all the ones they had that I preferred, and bought a bottle each of the other styles, just to try them. I do not like BBQ sauces that are candy sweet, or BBQ sauces that are so spicy hot that they burn you three times, -once on the way in, once on the way through, and once on the way out.
