Very giood quality shears, great for toucher cuts.
Good shears. Ratcheting mode helps a lot with hard to cut and thick branches. Ergonomics are nice. Highly recommended.

These do not work at all
This product is not sharp and very hard to even open and close. I do not recommend anyone purchasing these. As you can see, it has taken me a long time to review as I am not a complainer however these are the worst I have ever purchased.

Really like that there's a little oil swab in the grip ...
The only reason I didn't give a 5star rating is because they open so wide it's hard for my hand to grip them when wide open. I ordered these because they showed up in the category of accessible products and I have trouble with my hands. But they're extremely sharp which makes it easier on my hands. Really like that there's a little oil swab in the grip for cleaning and lubricating.

Work good might be a bit on the light weight side

Can't understand all the 5 star reviews.
I bought these ratchet pruners because of the high ratings. I have to say I am very surprised at everyone's response to these. It must have to do with getting them for free, because in my honest opinion, these are not good pruners. I am a professional gardener. As others have mentioned the lock is very tight at first and they do loosen up after awhile. So much so that mine lock themselves every 1-3 squeezes. The lever to switch from regular to ratchet also flips itself during use.Within the first 5 minutes of using it, I suddenly noticed the little oil pad on the ground. I know it was in tight before I started. I replaced it, but by the end of the day, it was gone again, this time for good. I contacted the seller and after awhile of her doing some investigation, she found that she could get me another one, but would I mind paying for shipping. I said ok. After a few weeks, I finally received it in a regular envelope that had been totally torn apart. The oil pad had somehow remained in the envelope. I received it in a plastic bag that the post office had put it into. What I didn't realize was that it came from Australia, so that regular envelope with the small oil pad cost $2.75 to mail. To send a check back to them will cost me $1.15. More money total than I should have to pay for a part that shouldn't have fallen out to begin with.I do not find these easy to squeeze with hardwood. I need to use 2 hands often. As a professional gardener, I am more than used to squeezing pruners. I would not say I have weak hands. The second time I used them, was to cut off last years old stalks on hydrangeas. They are around 3/8-1/2 inch across and they were very hard to squeeze with one hand. Additionally, before I had even finished the first of around 10 hydrangeas I had to prune, I had a huge blister on one of my fingers.I have used the EZ cut ratchets and never had any of those problems. I accidentally stretched the spring on it, and rather than return it (postage and return postage totals $16), I decided to try a new pair of ratchets. These are the ones I bought.I have not yet found out where I would have to return them to get my money back. If Australia, it will cost nearly as much as the pruners.I also see that they are now $20. They were $25, when I bought them. So, I was not given a free pair to review, and I do not give them 5 stars. I recommend trying the EZ Cut ratchet pruners, before you try these. One positive I can offer is they ARE very sharp and they do hold their edge very well.

piece of junk... don't buy
don't waste your money. product have good ideas but very badly produced with cheap material. after a few time cutting and switching from between the Scissor and ratchet, the plastic switch brook. now nothing works on the one I purchased. Should have tried for a week instead of putting away until needed to use. Now can't return the dam cheap piece of junk.

Good shears
Good product. Works well. I like the placement of the lock. It does not get in the way.
