Cheap but very playable
I bought this for my daughter that showed an interest in playing the guitar. Having played for 12 years myself I was desperate to get her on board so I could have a jamming partner 😂 anyway, the guitar is cheap and it looks it. There are runs in the lacquer, the fretboard is painted with some sort of blackboard paint and they haven't even painted straight lines. So this is rubbish right? Wrong actually, it plays well, sounds nice and holds tune well once the nylons have settled in. To use as a cheap practice guitar to use in the house or take in the car, garden or to school it's actually ideal. Needless to say my daughter got bored and I'm still left jamming along to pink Floyd on my own 🙁 one day......

Fair price to see if there is interest and talent
We have a long and wide family guitar tradition. I’ve never mastered it myself to satisfactory levels, although I can play most pop songs in the straightforward chords. My occasional strumming got our daughter interested. She has already tried to follow several online / Youtube beginners courses however the issue is that the neck of my grown-up guitar is too wide for her slender 9-year old fingers.the size and shape of this first guitar is just what we were looking for. And I couldn’t believe the price of this fairly complete set. I assume there is a quality trade off but so far it’s not noticeable to the undiscerning eye and/or ear. The guitar comes with case and accessories like nylon spare strings, a strap and a plectrum. The case can hold plectrums and guitar tuition books.I used an online tuning tool in combination with a Iphone app to get it tuned properly. Our daughter is now thinking about getting an after school guitar tutor, with my wife having an interest to join those sessions as well all of a sudden! (for which she will ‘borrow’ my beloved guitar!!). So for now this is a perfect guitar to see if it sparks her interest and if its starts a practice discipline. Eventually, if the guitar holds up we might swap the nylon strings with proper metal ones but for now it’s probably easier for our daughter’s fingers. In fact, we might trade up towards a more professional model/make if she delivers. In that case we will most likely keep this entry level guitar for her younger brother.

Good beginners guitar - great sound, finish has some little flaws
Great little guitar - only slightly let down by the quality of the finish (decoration around the sound hole vividly stuck on and then lacquered over - it comes up slightly on one side of the neck; black paint slightly covers some of the frets; the edge of the top side of the neck has some parts where it is not smooth but some border protrudes slightly) not too bad since this is not where you have to press down with your finger and it is not a danger of hurting the fingers. So it is not a perfect finish, but overall the guitar looks and feels nice. It comes with the strings on and just has to be tuned. So far it hasn’t settled yet and we have to tune it every time we use it and sometimes during the use as well (which might be down also to the beginners playing technique). When tuned though, the sound is really nice and my kids all enjoy using the guitar. It is therefore a great beginners instrument and you don’t have to be too worried about it when young ones are handling it a bit roughly and when taking it to school and back. It is certainly a good little guitar for the start.

Cheap and tricky to tune
This guitar is cheap, and probably great for beginners - but is near impossible to tune. I am a reasonably accomplished classical guitar player but despite tuning this repeatedly throughout the day for last 3 weeks, just cannot get to to tune to an agreeable standard for a beginner (I.e, not perfect, just good enough). It holds the tuning for about 5minutes......but not much more.Child likes it, but he’s never going to get a decent tune out of it - until I can fix the tuning pegs.

Poor quality
A lot of quality issues, more of a toy than a real instrument.OK, I now you should not expect a great deal for the money, but this guitars quality is to cheap for it to even be functional. We have got the guitar delivered and immediately noticed a chip on the front. I then started to tune and the machine heads have grip and so a string panged off as it could not grip sufficiently to hold the tension needed for standard tuning. If your kid just wants a toy, then I guess this might work, but as an instrument to learn on, I would give this a pass.I am going to have one more try, but fear I may need to return this (which I don't want to as my daughter has been really looking forward to getting her guitar.

Good value for youngsters
Bought 4 of these 1/4 size. Guitars for a primary age fiddle and guitar group. size is great for kids Ahmed 8-10 and sound is reasonable for such a cheap instrument, fingerboard is straight and action is good for young kids. Good value for money. Case is rather flimsy but it does provide an easy way for kids to move from class to home relatively safely .Would recommend.

My niece loves it.
Brought this for my niece she just turned 5. She loves it. As a beginner guitar it is a good buy and gentle on the little ones hands.
